Facilitate project planning sessions with internal stakeholders to determine the scope and objectives of each engineering project, and work with business stakeholders and other engineers to establish project performance goals and to design project plan, develop timeline, identify project milestones, and track performance against performance goals and timeline. Develop a cross-functional schedule utilizing schedule management tools and a cross-functional resource plan for projects applying experience with Project Resource Management. Utilize specialized knowledge of Exhaust Aftertreatment systems to facilitate design development from concept phase to production. Use cross functional knowledge in the design and development of project plans to improve the overall effectiveness of Manufacturing Operations Excellence. Lead design reviews and use CAD modeling to develop and optimize the design process. Perform complex analysis on aftertreatment systems and components and sensitivities and coordinate vehicle integration and performance testing. Manage project risk using quality tools including FMEA (Failure modes and effects analysis) to identify areas of risk and working with others on the engineering project team to identify alternative or solutions. Manage the process to identify, assess, and prioritize mechanical issues and risk using mechanical engineering tools and processes to minimize, monitor, and control the probability and/or impact of negative events or to maximize the realization of positive events. Research, design, evaluate, install, operate and maintain mechanical products, equipment, system or processes used during engineering projects. Investigate equipment failures during projects to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions. Perform evaluation of Engineering Data Management (EDM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions and recommend the best solution for product design and development functions
