What do our Project Managers do?
Functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Oversee and manage a full portfolio of large annual maintenance accounts and/or projectsReview available lake data to identify trends and evaluate management needs and the feasibility of different strategiesDevelop aquatic management plans/programs using available dataDesign appropriate pond/lake assessment scopes of workOrganize develop, and prepare competitive bid responses for the DistrictAttend public, Association, regulatory, and client meetings to present project informationManage product usage, labor costs, and other direct project expenses within defined program or project budgetAssist Senior Project Managers with development of project deliverables - reports, data input & statistical analysis, maps, etc.Provide technical support for required permitting processes and address regulator questions & request for informationOrganize, plan, schedule lake management project services/tasks for assigned projects, including but not limited to - material purchases, equipment rental, staff coordination and planning, etc.Directly provide sufficient and clear direction to Aquatic Specialists regarding project goals and specific task executionServe as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for all assigned projects/customers and handle all customer communicationActively conduct direct relationship growth and general business development with assigned existing customersDevelop positive industry relationships (vendors, consultants, engineers, etc.) that grow SOLitude's reputation and drive new business opportunitiesMentor local Aquatic Specialists, Biologists, and Associate PMs on lake management science, execution, and economicsReview and support District operational planning and logisticsAudit the work of other technical staff in the region to ensure proper standards are being met - QAQCEnsure permit and general regulatory compliance on assigned projects and across the Region - Local, State, FederalOrganize, develop, and delegate client project deliverables (reports, maps, data tables, etc.) to ensure that customer expectations and project timetables are metUsing ArcView GIS software develop vegetation and treatment area maps to support customer portfolioOther duties as assigned
What do you need?
Bachelor's Degree in related science7 years of directly relatable work experienceSafe boating certificationUS DOT Medical CardPossess a valid state pesticide Aquatic category certification in all states serviced by DistrictExpert knowledge of aquatic pesticide uses, application methods, and dosingExpert knowledge of SOLitude services and the operational execution of those servicesAdvanced knowledge of aquatic environments and aquatic management practices and strategiesAdvanced knowledge of limnological principles and water chemistryExpert knowledge of Regional State regulatory requirements and constraints for Aquatic plant management workMust pass pre-employment background screenMust possess a valid driver's license and pass motor vehicle record search
