The Portfolio Performance and Oversight (PP&O) team within Distribution Program Management will centralize the management and implementation of processes, projects, programs, and tools related to Distribution Performance. This team is responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting out on Distribution goals and metrics and for helping drive overall performance in Distribution to the successful achievement of stated goals and targets. The position will provide project management, and lead performance capability related projects for PP&O with a portfolio of over $3B in Capital execution, and resource levels exceeding 500 construction crew equivalents. This portfolio is expected to grow by over 40% in the next 3 years.
The successful candidate will effectively build stakeholder engagement by proactively executing on project/program plan elements, applying change management techniques to maintain, improve and/or implement new performance management work methods, processes, procedures, and policies; identifying areas for improvement and developing and implementing strategies to address performance challenges; analyzing information and data to develop recommendations/strategies; leading and directing cross-functional and interdepartmental teams to achieve project objectives; facilitating meetings, presentations and discussions in order to achieve project/program objectives. The Project Manager will establish consistent and structured processes, which will help reduce redundancy and create sustainable and valuable performance management work processes, and will work with T&D leadership, key partners, and other organization units to ensure results align with strategies and goals.

Manage projects/programs from the point of defining the project scope, objective, to developing, maintaining, communicating, implementing, and sustaining a project plan solution. Act as key consultant to manage, identify and provide recommendations for improvement opportunities that will help develop and mature performance management capabilities. Scheduling and facilitating meetings, sponsor updates, presentations, and discussions with a variety of audiences and levels across the organization. Developing and implementing strategic goal and business plans, and widespread change initiatives, such as those in support of major business/process improvement initiatives related to performance management. Implementing, establishing, and maintaining key strategic metrics that ensure effectiveness across Distribution. Analyzing information and/or data, developing recommendations and solutions, and effectively communicating recommendations to management. Providing governance on overall performance management capabilities, including standards, tools, and process. Making strategic decisions regarding establishing and changing project/program direction. Identifying and managing resolution of major or complex issues. Represent the department and company as required with contractors, suppliers, other departments, and/or other parties. Maintaining a safety conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices and perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
The essentials
7 or more years of experience in project management. Experience working in an electric utility.
The preferred
Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Engineering, Psychology, or a related field. Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Certificate. Experience with performance management tools and processes. Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite products, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Content management experience with SharePoint or similar. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Six Sigma Yellow, Green, or Black Belt.

The position's work mode is remote. Employee can work primarily at home or remote however, the employee will be expected to come to an SCE facility on occasion. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Hiring organizations can add further requirements related to specific jobs.
