Responsibilities and Authorities
Responsible for delivering success of New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product Transfer in manufacturing operations through ownership of project scope, schedule, resource and budget. For NPI, interface between R&D and Operations to ensure smooth transition from development to manufacturing. For Product Transfer, interface between Pitch and Catch Team.
Major Responsibilities
Collaborate with PMO, R&D and Operations (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain) to plan and implement New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and transition from development to mass production.Collaborate with Pitch and Catch Team to plan and implement Product Transfer activities from Pitch site to catch site for mass production.Participate in Project Core Team meetings or Extended Team meetings to drive action to solutions.Organize project meetings and compile project status report to ensure on-schedule product launches.Coordinate / Support operational readiness with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality and Manufacturing for pilot development build, trial manufacturing build and initial mass production. Conduct readiness reviews, post build reviews and compile reports.Lead / Support new product process creation, optimize existing process and implement technical breakthrough activities through Lean / Six Sigma methodology to reduce manufacturing costs and/or enhance manufacturing efficiency.Work with PMO and R&D to develop initial product cost estimate and monitor cost through the development phase against cost targets. Participate in cost reductions where possible.Adopt PPI methodology as part of project management and contribute ideas for process improvement.Maintain and ensure systems and project documents are in compliance to the Organization's Quality standards and Regulatory requirements.
Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sciences or Technical with formal project management training.
PMP certified (preferable)
Experiences
Min 3 years relevant experience in leading projects in new product introduction, product transfer within manufacturing operations. Strong project management, communication and a dynamic team player. Ability to manage numerous projects and interface effectively with team members.
Preferably having some Lean / Six Sigma experience in an industrial environment; having led or participated as a key player in Lean / Six Sigma / Continuous improvement projects in manufacturing operations.
Competencies Preferred
Strong project management skills.Ability to lead multiple projects and motivate project team members to achieve project objectives.Ability to communicate clearly in writing and face to face in multi-functional matrix teams.Proficient in MS Project and SAP.Good understanding of ISO requirements.Planning and organizing skills.Lean / Six Sigma and problem-solving skills.
