Summary Chobani is a rapidly growing company with a large annual capital spend. The Engineering and Project Management Team is responsible for defining project scopes, developing project budgets, and coordinating the execution of capital projects related to new product launches, equipment upgrades, facilities, utility infrastructure, and maintenance. This role will manage small to large scale capital projects at the South Edmeston, NY facility. The position requires a high degree of responsibility, highly effective communication skills, leadership, decision making ability and self-sufficiency. This role has a responsibility for ensuring personnel safety, food safety, and quality of Chobani products. Responsibilities Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management, end users, and key partners. Build work breakdown structures, capital expenditure requests, handle budgets, forecasts and facilitate asset creation. Build and implement a detailed work plan which identifies the sequence of activities needed to successfully complete the project. Select and handle the resources required to complete the project. Contract qualified consultants as appropriate. Define the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion. Ensure that all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the organization and the project. Perform accurate change management practices. Follow Chobani’s project management structure and use the appropriate forms to document project activities. Monitor the progress of the project and adjust as necessary to ensure project performance and earned value meets project baseline plan. Review the project schedule frequently with senior management and other partners impacted by the project activities; update schedule as the need arises. Initiate, manage, and receive all budgeted project expenditures. Handle cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and any variances to senior management on a regular basis (monthly/bimonthly). Handle all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures. Lead all aspects of the project closure process including asset cost allocation, outline non-value added activities, and asset disposals. Other duties as assigned. Travel as needed and required by projects. Requirements Engineering Bachelor of Science degree. Must have 5 years of project management experience in the food and beverage industry, dairy is preferred. PMP certification preferred. Familiarity with PMI’s PMBOK Guide to project management. Pro-active, personal drive, decisiveness, commercial/eye for business, excellent communication and collaboration skills, organizational proficiency, and the ability to prioritize. Must be willing to travel and may occasionally spend significant periods of time on-site in other locations. Inventory management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Positive attitude, high energy, flexibility, and personal initiative. Ability to work well under pressure and maintain professional demeanor.
