Our facility in Littleton, CO has an immediate opportunity for a mid-career Project Manager / Construction Engineer Sr. to join our mission. In this role, you will work on projects which will vary from simple with low complexity tenant finish to higher technical specialized projects including anechoic & thermal vacuum chamber test areas, critical manufacturing & assembly areas, technology support operation centers, and cutting-edge customer demonstration capabilities to name a few.
Summary of key duties in this role:
• Plan, oversee, and manage all aspects during the construction implementation process for new or expanded facilities, equipment installations, area refurbishments, and infrastructure upgrades
• Prepare construction functional studies, construction plans, and schedules
• Assist with obtaining and supervising outside contractors
• Partner with project management to supervise the detailed design, budgetary costing, construction, and final inspection of facility projects
• Conduct construction field site inspection to ensure adherence to contractual requirements and safety plans
• Work closely with in-house architectural/engineering design staff as well as outside consultants
• Lead communication and coordination efforts with internal Lockheed Martin Programs to ensure contractor success in project delivery
Basic Qualifications:
• Proficient in construction contract documents and processes
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations
• Demonstrated knowledge of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire system installations
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders and leading the initial project scope development/refinement process in a complex organizational environment
• Familiarity with preparing and evaluating cost estimates and project schedules at various stages of project maturity from preliminary concept to construction bids
• Experience directing and managing outside contractors and vendors throughout all phases of the construction process for projects
• Experience with planning/communicating/executing construction operations that may affect business activities with all stakeholders (Method of Procedure development/execution)
• Proficient at interpretation of company standards and jurisdictional requirements as they apply to design plans and specifications
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
• Proficient with MS Project or similar scheduling tool
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related degree desired
• 5 years construction project management
• Previous experience as an electrical contractor or experience with electrical background
• Prior risk management/assessment experience required
• Proficient interpretation of design drawings with company standards and specifications applicable for State and County building agencies in support of construction
• Shown experience in tenant improvement
• Value Engineering and solution-based input to difficult technical issues
• Experience or schooling in Engineering discipline, PMP or LEED certifications, or recent LEAN Construction project development examples
• Valid/Existing General Contracting license or previous GC license holder
• Interpret facility engineering design standards/produced drawings, building codes, specifications, studies, and cost estimates for a variety of facilities building types, including offices, laboratories, aerospace assembly and test operations, and cleanrooms
• Experience directing and managing outside contractors and vendors throughout all phases of the construction process for projects from $5K to $5M
• Experience collaborating with facility management / operations teams, including technicians, engineers, supervisors, and crafts/trades
• Motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal customer skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills for multi-tasking several projects concurrently

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $78,500 - $150,400 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
