Your Opportunity
Stantec is actively seeking eager, enthusiastic candidates for a full-time Project Manager Assistant to provide management support of various projects for federal, state and municipal government, transportation, energy, and non-profit/NGOs for recreation rehabilitation, ecosystem restoration and transportation clients. This is open in any of the following locations: Reno, NV., Zephyr Cove, NV., Sacramento, CA., and/or Bishop, CA. This position has the flexibility of working in a hybrid work environment with a mix of remote work and in-office work.
Your Key Responsibilities
Responsible for supporting Project Managers with the following:
Project Management Support
Assist Project Manager with client project management and coordination
Develop draft client monthly status reports
Track project scope, schedule and budget and coordinate with Project Manager
Assist Project Manager in project staffing and workload forecasting
Assist Project Manager with tracking and coordinating deliverables
Assist Project Manager with tracking and coordinating safety
Assist with Project Financial Management
Use monthly budget updates generated by Project Controls Team to assist Project Manager with cash flow projections required to model rates and revenue requirements
Prepare reports that outline the project’s financial position in the areas of revenue and costs
Support Project Manager with QA/QC of monthly budget forecasts to prepare monthly Estimate to Complete updates
Track project expenditures and monitor project cash flows
Review monthly invoices
Maintain documentation in project files
Assist with Subconsultant and Task Order Management
Monitor and report on subconsultant expenditures
Coordinate change orders with subconsultants
Support preparation of level of effort cost estimates
Support preparation of task order packages
Program Controls Support
Support the maintenance of business processes, systems, and tools to enable project controls functions to be sustained over the life of projects
Review subconsultant invoices, collaborate with Stantec Accountants, and compile invoices for review by Project Manager
Follow up on requests for payment, and invoices using internal cost data and contact vendors when appropriate.
Draft Stantec Estimates at Completion for review by Project Manager
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Understanding of project control concepts (min. two years of experience) and ability to effectively communicate to others.
Recognize when technical problems are developing and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
Demonstrated experience in analyzing financial data, cost control analysis, budget development and reporting
Experience with Cost Management services including cost control, planning, earned value analysis, forecasting, report production, cash flow maintenance and change management
Ability to check own work for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
Expertise in using Microsoft Office suite of tools (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and Adobe Acrobat, with an emphasis on advanced Excel experience, including pivot tables, formula creation and formula refining
Experience working within virtual collaborative work environments
Experience working with collaborative platforms such as SharePoint
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Business, Environmental Consulting, or related field
Experience in financial analysis, budget management and/or project cost and schedule controls

Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s):
Salary Range(s):
$79,000 - $114,500 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CA (SF Area includes SF, SJS & WLC)The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
