BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY :
This position provides analytical and project management support to Accounting & Shared Services and will act as one of the points of contact on low to moderate-complexity transformational initiatives defined by the management & senior leadership teams. This position is responsible for analyzing business processes & leading continuous improvement, developing and executing detailed project plans, reporting to Senior Management & the field, and other tasks as assigned.
Work Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the Richmond, VA Home Office and have a Hybrid work arrangement
Work Authorization: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with project customers to solidify initiative scope, timelines, budget, and resources. Assemble and lead project teams through the execution of defined objectives. Create and execute project plans, stakeholder analysis, risk logs, communication plans and other project framework artifacts as defined by CarMax's Project Norms. Review deliverables and prepare for sponsor and stakeholder reviews. Ensure project artifacts are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Work with project team members and other resources to remove project obstacles. Manage day to day project operational aspects with internal and external business partners/stakeholders (stores, home office departments, and vendors), customers and project team members.Support our teams in ad hoc planning activities and business benefit analysis. Partner in the best interest of making sound decisions. Present high-level analysis with value added recommendations.Lead and support continuous improvement. Serve as a key facilitation and coordination resource for Accounting. Responsibilities include but not limited to facilitating cross-functional working sessions, training department associates on implementation and change management best practices, rollout of new concepts and sustainment, and providing business areas with consultative support on continuous improvement initiatives

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
2+ years' project/process management experienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related business degreeDemonstrated top-caliber analytic and problem-solving skillsPassion for business and a desire to develop into a strong business leaderComputer skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word)
