Supervise, manage, and direct the selection, training, development, appraisal, and work assignments of personnel. Develop and maintain a working relationship with the owner or the owner's representative. Read, understand, and plan according to the work specifications and contract responsibilities. Anticipate project conflicts, communicate preventative action plans, and implement solutions to avoid issues. Understand and plan work according to project plans, change orders, shop drawings, subcontracts, purchase orders, and monthly pay estimates. Select and oversee subcontractors and suppliers. Create, update, review, and maintain budget for project. Generate solutions to stay on time and on budget. Monitor the cost of equipment on a project and implement strategies to stay within budget. Schedule a project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines in P6 CPM. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge and skill. Oversee daily field activities leading to optimal progression of a project with Superintendents. Present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
[[MINIMUM EDUCATION:[[Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Structural Engineering, or related.
[[MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:[[Two (2) years' experience managing highway and bridge construction packages valued over $50M; Reviewing, implementing and, maintaining traffic control plans; Operating Primavera 6 CPM and Bluebeam Revu takeoff scheduling software; Operating MS PowerBI and Heavy Job HCCS to manage civil engineering projects; Applying construction math concepts to value engineer cost components exceeding $10M in value; Producing annual budgets, revenue projections and cash flow estimations; Operating project with self-perform resources labor and equipment; Participating in subcontractor negotiation including material buyouts and contract development; Subcontractor negotiation to include material buyouts, contract development, and negotiation of subcontracts; Analyzing design documentation for implementation to include change orders and value added engineering.
