An exciting opportunity for a Project Manager has arisen within our business. The role requires a highly motivated, high achieving individual reporting to the Senior Program Manager to take responsibility over on-going projects and/or customer platforms.
The Project Manager is the main focal point and interface between Collins Italy and the customers. Project(s) comprise a set of mid/large sized projects and/or a suite of small scale projects. The ideal candidate will have strong problem solving and leadership skills, strategic vision, determination, and accountability together with the ability to work within cross-functional teams.What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?
Provide overall strategic and technical leadership in managing the programs with particular focus on profitability, quality and on time delivery throughout all the life cycle of the programKeep focus and accountability on the Risk Management and Manage program contracts.Manage the programs in the short term, keeping a holistic view on the business to anticipate risks and identify new opportunities in the long term.Ensure effective and efficient communication with the customer, enhance relationships ensuring timely and accurate answers.Maintain accurate reporting on the program status, to both Site and Corporate organization, using appropriate performance indicators and constantly measuring the level of customer satisfactionCoordinate inter-functional activities contributing to the achievement of business goals and be accountable for Recovery PlanningCoordinate the preparation of technical and commercial proposals working with other company departments, in compliance with Collins Management Systems (CMS) and Phase & Gate procedures.Conduct reporting activities in monthly cadence reviews with upper managementOversee the design and development of new products (NPI), ensuring alignment with the Engineering Project LeadEnsure the on time development of the assigned programs, verifying they are compliant with the KPIs (CPI/SPI) and formulating offers for any changes in the "scope of work"Support audit activities requested by internal and external customers.What will you bring to the role?
Desirable skills:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering and/or Business Management or higher degreeA minimum of 3 years' experience in product / industrial / engineering management, with at least 2 years' exposure to complex, technical / manufacturing issuesProficiency in English (C1 level required)Ability to influence and build strong business relationships within a diverse and international client group.Ability to maintain positive relationships through effective communication, persuade and convince stakeholders to reach consensus in challenging situations, adapting leadership style to different audiences.Experience interpreting and analyzing complex data, with the ability to easily translate it into targeted communications.Proactivity, ability to drive change and seek opportunities for improvement.Willingness to take responsibility and deliver results both as a leader and as a team player in a work environment based on team support and integration.Orientation to exceeding expectations and ability to provide individual effort on key activities.Desire to exceed the expectations of demanding customers.Willingness to travelWhat do we offer?
