Project Manager (15 months Term)

This role is under Program Management office (PMO) which is part of Product organization. PMO is responsible for technical product development initiatives, Capex, Governance, Change Management, Risk Management, Roadmap Planning, Product KPIs, R&D Process and Program Management of R&D programs and releases and support of project management tools.
Project Manager is responsible to lead projects of varying complexity. Leading a project would entail to work with product management to define project scope and work with product development team to come up with schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects. Also could be responsible to coordinate various goal oriented work items that may require gathering stakeholders to come up with actionable tasks.
In performing these roles, Project Manager will be expected to blend traditional project management principles and practices with an agile development approach in the right proportions to fit the projects. Key responsibilities are:
Being part of the PMO, responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and be able to own and coordinate those projects
Be able to help PMO Focus on three Key Performance Indicators: On-time Delivery, Quality and Efficiency
Lead and oversee release management function: Includes defining and implementing release procedures and schedules. Continuously evaluate and refine release processes, leveraging industry best practices and innovative methodologies to optimize efficiency and enhance the overall quality of releases.
Be able to lead cloud migration projects: Demonstrated expertise in leading and executing cloud migration projects, showcasing a successful track record in seamlessly transitioning operations to different Cloud provider or from Data Center to Cloud.
Be able to coordinate Quarterly product planning in product team: Extensive experience in collaborating with product development teams to facilitate quarterly product planning cycles and coordinating with product management to produce roadmap. Proven track record in orchestrating the transformation of functional teams into dynamic cross-functional squads.
Be able to act as Operations Lead: Proven proficiency in steering multifaceted initiatives from inception to completion. Adept at mitigating risks and aligning program objectives with organizational goals while maintaining high standards of quality.
Demonstrate broad knowledge of Project Management Skills
Be able to understand software architecture and follow through actions to accomplish project goals
Plan, execute and coordinate active projects
Perform overall day-to-day management of multiple projects to ensure that project objectives are achieved within time/cost/quality constraints
Responsible for project documentation including project plan and weekly status reports
Report project progress on a regular basis to ensure the project’s overall direction and integrity
Perform management of the risks of the project, including the development of contingency plans
Manage project scope and change control and escalate issues where necessary
Ensure project objectives are understood and met, ensuring that the Project Team members understand the requirements
Ensure all groups are adequately consulted and are satisfied with each deliverable as it effects their specialist area
Tools / Technologies we use
Atlassian (JIRA / Confluence), MS Office, Miro, SharePoint
Education and Certifications
University degree or college diploma in computer science, engineering
Certification such as PMP is a definite asset
Agile certifications such as SAFe, PMI-ACP, CSM, CPO is a definite asset
Knowledge/Experience
Min 4 years of end-to-end project management experience with Enterprise Software development using agile methodology.
Experience in release management function.
Experience in cloud migration projects.
Experience working with product management and product team(s) for Product Planning.
Experience to evolve and coach teams on Agile journey.
Experience and exposure with PMO tools (e.g. Project Scheduling Tools, Resource Planning, Risk Registers)
Experience using and administering Jira, Confluence and Atlassian stack.
Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as good working knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices
