The Supervisor – Project Management Support is a specialist level professional with working knowledge and experience in project management and engineering functions. Supervises project management support activities including but not limited to initial cost estimating, engineering support, and large project documentation. Assists staff in developing engineering drawings and documents for company projects as well as performing research, calculations, layout, and supporting tasks to assist engineers during the project design & construction process.
Key Responsibilities
Champions a corporate culture that emphasizes transparency, integrity, safety, environmental responsibility, employee development, diversity and inclusion, customer service, and operational excellence.
Coordinate project support including engineering and as-built drawings and project management support.
Manage the maintenance of engineering construction and as-built drawings, including updating drawings on a routine basis.
Supervises project support activities including but not limited to project management assistance, coordinate initial development of large project estimates, preparation of project procurement documents, and large project documentation.
Manage and coordinate the large project RACI (responsible, account, consult, inform) responsibilities for the project management coordinators.
Manage the expediting and tracking of large capital project (greater than $1MM) materials and services.
Supervises administration of document management and scheduling software.
Coordinate FERC filings as required.
Trains new team members and provides input to employee performance evaluations.
Provides immediate supervision to employees who perform single or multiple tasks.
Considers future implication of supporting large capital projects and implement processes to improve project support.
Qualifications
Required Education, Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Business, Project Management or related field.
5+ years of related experience
2+ years people management experience, preferred
Experience and ability to lead staff across projects towards a common vision
Knowledge of standard business practices and professionalism
Ability to interact with all levels of employees to address difficult issues
Possesses social skills and has ability to understand and influence others.
Ability to manage high workloads and conflicting priorities
Ability to operate effectively and proactively with an employee centric mindset
Detailed-oriented and high work standards in support of seamless execution
