Role Summary/Purpose
As Project Management Specialist located in Campinas, Brazil reporting to North America Rotating Machines team, you will play a significant role in the execution of Nuclear projects for NAM in, interacting closely with Nuclear customers in North America, design engineering and Project Management team in Rotating Machines Peterborough (RMP), Canada, and with Rotating Machines Campinas (RMC) engineering, sourcing and manufacturing teams, understanding their challenges, developing technical solutions and project fulfillment as part of Order to Remittance (OTR). The Project Management Specialist (PMS) is the main point of contact for our NAM PM team and our Nuclear customer in NAM during order execution. The PMS leads the Nuclear orders in Campinas starting from the ITO (Inquiry to Order)/OTR (Order to Remittance) hand-over and makes sure all functions perform per timeline and deliver as per quality requirements. The PMS is responsible to ensure communication of requirements and changes is channeled to the stakeholders correctly.
In this role as PM Specialist, you will be working with end customers or their representative, RMP business leadership, RMP Engineering team, RMC Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing and Quality teams. The successful candidate will report to the NAM Industry OTR & Services Leader.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Primary Project Management contact for all NAM Nuclear projects. Manage correspondence, provide periodic updates, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Manage each NAM Nuclear order from receipt of incoming materials to RTS (Readiness to ship).
Proactively work with multiple stakeholders to manage project risks
Ensure that each step of the manufacturing process is carried out with quality by working closely with AME, Manufacturing planning, shop supervisors and operators.
Overall project execution ownership and responsibility for coordinating multiple functions - Engineering, project management co-ordination with RMP, project planning, and project quality.
Responsible for on-time delivery in accordance with customer order requirements.
Proactively provide regular updates on project status and risks.
Monitor the progress throughout project life-cycle and ensure that eventual issues are escalated as appropriate and promptly resolved.
Escalate Project delays and resource conflicts to RMP/RMC leadership and resolve these challenges.
Ensure required quality documentation from each Manufacturing step is completed and being shared between the various stakeholders.
Maintain project records and communications.
Ensure Lessons Learned from project execution are shared within the team.
Qualifications/Requirements:
University degree or Diploma in Business/Commerce/Project Management
Minimum of 7+ years proven project management experience with strong customer focus and quality focus.
Proven experience in managing customer contracts above $1M USD
Proven ability to work across global teams.
Excellent product knowledge and technical background on Large Synchronous and Large Induction Motors for various industries such as Oil & Gas, Mining, Metals, Air Separation, Nuclear, Power Utilities etc.
Excellent Communication Skills (written & oral) - English.
Minimum 5 years of industrial experience in electrical or mechanical manufacturing industry.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
