What you will be doing

Our 10-week paid internship program has been developed to provide students with hands-on experience to learn more about the Healthcare industry and the impact to human and animal health. This internship program will provide you with professional development, networking and volunteer opportunities. As a Portfolio Program Management Intern, your main responsibilities will include:
Assisting in the management of project portfolios: You will work closely with the Portfolio Program Manager to support the planning, execution, and monitoring of various projects within the organization's portfolio. This may involve conducting research, analyzing data, and providing regular updates on project status.Supporting project governance: You will assist in establishing and maintaining project governance processes and frameworks to ensure effective decision-making and alignment with organizational goals. This may include helping to define project objectives, scope, timelines, and resource allocation.Monitoring project performance: You will help track key performance indicators (KPIs) for projects within the portfolio and provide regular reports on progress to stakeholders. This may involve collecting data from various sources, analyzing trends, identifying risks and issues, and proposing appropriate mitigation strategies.Collaborating with cross-functional teams: You will work closely with project managers and other team members across different functional areas to facilitate collaboration, communication, and coordination between projects. This may involve attending meetings, documenting meeting minutes, and ensuring timely follow-up on action items.Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives: You will have the opportunity to identify areas for process improvement within the portfolio management function and propose innovative solutions. This may involve conducting research on industry best practices or participating in process optimization projects.Assisting in ad-hoc assignments: You may be involved in additional tasks or special projects as needed to support the overall objectives of the portfolio management team.
What your background should look like
Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, project management, or a related field.Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex information.Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Knowledge of project management methodologies (such as Agile or Waterfall) is a plus.

This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
