We are currently seeking a Project Environmental Geologist/Environmental Scientist/Environmental Engineer to work in a technical field/office support role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is a full-time hybrid position located in our Seattle, WA office.DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESThe successful candidate will:
Conduct field work, including soil, sediment, aquifer testing, drilling oversight and soil logging, soil boring and monitoring well installation, well development, well purging and sampling, and construction oversight, groundwater, soil, sediment, vapor, stormwater, and surface water sampling.Coordinate and direct drilling, surveying, and laboratory services.Provide construction oversight on environmental remediation projects, and operations and maintenance of environmental remediation systems.Provide construction oversight on geotechnical construction sites on deep foundations, excavations, and ground improvement systems.Focus on team project delivery, taking direction primarily from Project Managers.Work within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments.Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.Communicate with subcontractors, tenants, and clients during field activities.Act as a "Team Leader" on project sites as well as a mentor and trainer to junior staff.Conduct other duties which could also include reviewing boring logs, compliance auditing, occupational health and safety or stormwater management.Live a commutable distance to the office.SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
B.S. degree in Geology (Engineering, Environmental Science, Geoscience, or related field).M.S. degree strongly preferred.Has GIT/EIT and PG/PE or able to sit for WA registration within 6 months of hire.Minimum 5-10 years of related local environmental field geology/engineering and consulting experience.Experience with the Washington State Department of Ecology's Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA) a plus.Interest in both Geotechnical and Environmental projects.Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills.Computer skills with Bluebeam, MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and MS Project.Proficient technical writing and verbal communication skills.OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER and other H&S training desirable.Ability to work on a team and independently in a fast-paced consulting environment and ability to review, compile and interpret geologic data to prepare accurate site-models.About Haley & AldrichHaley & Aldrich is committed to delivering the value our clients need from their capital, operations, and environmental projects.
