Columbia Basin College ("CBC" or the "College") seeks a Program Coordinator who will be responsible for the coordination and work related to the Upward Bound program under the general direction of the Director for Upward Bound. This position independently informs students, staff, program participants, parents and the public regarding program content, policies, procedures and activities for Upward Bound. This position coordinates, schedules, and monitors program activities consistent with project goals; monitors, maintains, and initiates expenditures in line with allowable costs; oversees the activities of a student worker, and works with data management using an assigned data management system; coordinates payroll for part-time adjust faculty, maintains time and effort and inventory documentation. This position reports to the Director for Upward Bound.

Primary Responsibilities
Respond to program email inquiries, answer phone calls and schedule appointments for staff in accordance with division policies;Process paperwork pertaining to enrollment into the program;Provide high-level customer service and problem-solving assistance to students, staff and the public regarding program eligibility, policies and procedures;Monitor and track students for compliance with program enrollment requirements;Assist in maintaining and monitoring the department budget; complete and process requisitions, invoices and payroll; provide regular reports and coordinate required paperwork for the budgets;Maintain accurate reporting data in data-based system, monitor and report on program activities in relation to established program goals within the established program parameters; provide narrative and/or statistical report as requested;Inform parents and program participants of events and application documentation, as well as release forms; informs parents, community, and part-time staff and target schools of program policies, procedures and activities; designs and distributes monthly flyer;Assist in ensuring compliance with federal legislation and regulations and billing requirements in coordination with the Director;Direct student worker on data entry and other assigned tasks;Collaborates in creating and updating processes, documentation, forms and publications as they relate to the services provided by the program;Monitor program processes and procedures in relation to established goals and recommend changes and training needed within departments to enhance efficiency and services;Attend meetings and conferences as an Upward Bound representative and make presentations as needed on behalf of the department; andPerform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree or equivalent education from an institutionally accredited college or university; Two (2) years of administrative work experience in a professional setting; Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel; andBilingual in Spanish and in English.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with low-income, first-generation high school students and non-native English speakers; andExperience working in a community college setting.
