Your Opportunity
We are looking for an individual that has experience working on horizontal and vertical construction projects of varying scale and complexity and excited about providing planning, design, and construction management support to our transportation team. This is an opportunity for someone who is resourceful, organized, and committed and is interested in setting the pace for their growing career.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Project Coordinator, you will play in integral role in delivering quality submissions and tracking overall project performance. You will be an integrated member of project teams and interface internally with project managers and design teams, and externally with clients and consultants.
Specific responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assist in management of design and construction projects
Assist Project Managers with compliance of Stantec and ISO standards for Project Management, including participation in audits
Oversee and assist with coordination of document control requirements (quality reviews, specifications, RFI’s, submittals, shop drawings, revision control)
Understand, optimize, and implement Project Controls processes and system(s) for various project functions
Prepare documents and maintain file management of project-related information including correspondence, proposals, reports, schedules, minutes, spreadsheets, presentations, database lists, specifications, and contracts
Attend meetings and prepare meeting minutes including the coordination and tracking of action items and deliverables
Create and maintain project plans, schedules and deliverables
Perform other key responsibilities of a similar nature and level as assigned
Qualifications
What Will You Need to Succeed?
High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or construction management, technical degree or certificate or equivalent in related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years professional experience from internships, co-ops, or current position; More experienced individuals are encouraged to apply as the responsibilities of the position are flexible based on experience level.
A valid Driver’s license with the ability to travel for site visits, field monitoring, and meeting attendance at agencies or client sites
Knowledge and skills in design and construction project management
Ability to grasp new concepts quickly, support simultaneous tasks, and work independently and as part of a team
Effective written and verbal communication skills in office and remote environments
Positive attitude with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
Strong problem solving and analytical skills, including attention to detail
Willing to take initiative and ownership of areas of responsibility to meet project requirements
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) to create high quality deliverables
Proficiency in project monitoring and controls software (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6)
Experience with Lean Design and Construction is a plus
