ABOUT THE ROLE/TEAM:
The GPS Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the Global Public Sector Business Unit, the fastest growing business unit at Salesforce. This role is hybrid of traditional jobs in strategic planning, sales operations, finance, and analysis - requiring a mix of project management, sales enablement, and business operational support.
Be ready for a fast paced, highly engaging team environment to drive one of the most valued and visible programs in the company. Success in this role means assisting the COO of Global Public Sector to drive strategic initiatives. Sample projects include headcount growth strategy, sales resource management, project impact analysis. The role requires interaction with various areas of the organization and provides exposure to senior executives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build trust and credibility with stakeholders and partners that include Sales Leaders, Finance, Recruiting, Employee Success, and Sales Strategy.
- Drive accountability, ownership, and metrics for the GPS Hiring Plan to support business goals to maximize impact.
- Lead and manage strategic projects that align with the GPS initiatives.
- Support Strategic initiatives including the long term business plan, G4G and identifying areas of growth opportunity.
- Prepare analysis and recommendations for strategic decision making.
- Analyze health of business and interpret key performance indications and metrics.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university.
- Strong business acumen and experience with executive presentations.
- Strategic thinker who can see the big picture, innovate and adapt to constant change.
- Proven track record of supporting sales organizations - working with and influencing executives.
- Strong interpersonal skills that span across various cultures and professional backgrounds.
- Ability to connect the dots in large, matrixed organizations; must be able to network effortlessly and influence various roles, levels and profiles to drive collaboration and program excellence.
- Knowledge of Salesforce solutions with basic understanding and familiarity with Google Suites platform.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with Workday HR Systems
- Mastery of sales skills in the context of discovery, presentations, demos and corporate differentiation.
- Experience acting as a project coordinator, executing multiple projects simultaneously. Get it done attitude with a strong sense of team and cross-functional finesse.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Recommended Salesforce Admin Certification or 2-3 years prior experience developing Salesforce reports and dashboards.
- Recommended Project Management Professional certification.
