A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.
Our goal is to build a Google that looks like the world around us — and we want Googlers to stay and grow when they join us. As part of our efforts to build a Google for everyone, we build diversity, equity, and inclusion into our work and we aim to cultivate a sense of belonging throughout the company.
As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for procurement, materials fulfillment, driving business process improvements and analytics projects. Your expertise in the areas of materials management, systems and procurement processes will be critical for the on-time delivery, cost productivity, and project execution that are required to fulfill massive compute hardware and technology at our global data centers.
You will collaborate with New Product Introduction (NPI), Supply Planning, Engineering, Commodity Management, Contract Manufacturing, Logistics, and Suppliers to drive business needs through process and system changes that enable materials procurement for Google's rapidly growing infrastructure.
Manage and develop processes for timely, cost effective procurement of material while working closely with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams.
Drive the team for scalable solutions and support models around invoice resolution, transactional error resolution, and receiving issues.
Lead continuous improvement in purchasing, material delivery, and shortage management with the focus on data analytics that enable faster decision making for deployments.
Serve as subject matter expertise, define Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and align on priorities for the team.
Use problem-solving skills to establish and drive metrics, all in the pursuit of operational excellence.
