DEALING WITH AMBIGUITY: Ability to navigate the ambiguity that often comes with large, complex transformation initiatives and decision-making at the executive levels.

LEARNING ON THE FLY and PERSPECTIVE: A generalist with a broad understanding of many topics. Able to move fluidly across diverse topics, identify what's relevant and then translate that into action to advance the Company's strategy.
Education & Professional Qualifications
• BS or BA in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, Retail Science or related field; an advanced degree is preferred
• Desired: Project Management and/or P3O certification/knowledge, Masters Degree in Relevant Discipline
• Desired: Program / Project Management Certification(s) e.g. Agile, SCRUM, and/or Project Management Professional (PMP)
Knowledge/Experience
• 8+ years progressive experience in Project Management, Strategy, Operations, Finance or related field
• 5+ Years Retail / Direct to Consumer Experience
• 5+ years experience cross functional project teamwork
• This position requires advanced communication skills, interpersonal and team building skills.
• Demonstrated advanced skills as a concise, clear, and creative communicator
• Demonstrated research, analytical and problem solving skills with a solution-oriented focus
• Understanding of Integrated Business Planning and Unit Operations
• Ability to set strategy, effective plan and ensure quality execution to meet and exceed established goals and objectives
• Excellent Computer skills required, including strong MS Excel and PowerPoint advanced knowledge
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, influence, negotiate, motivate and lead a cross-functional support team
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team
• Ability to make timely, consistent and well-balanced decisions
• Ability to handle sensitive information
• Confidence to work with all levels of associates across business units.

What will be your key responsibilities?
Strategic Execution and Portfolio Management
• Collaborate with Strategy Director and Portfolio VP to understand the current One M&M's ambition and strategy and lead the process to execute this in Mars Retail Business.
• Work with S&F & MRGLT to facilitate discussion leading to the prioritization of the activities that will deliver the financial ambition linked to the agreed One M&M's strategy with the 3-year strategy and communicate and cascading it across the organization (including stakeholder enrolment/presentations/pre-reads)
• Develop a process to understand the financial, capacity and capability investments required to support the strategy,
• Work with newly appointed Franchise Business Development Manager to create the framework for the detail Franchise opportunity.
• Facilitate the Capital Appropriations budgeting and planning process which may include forecasting, governance of submissions and internal approvals.
• Create the communication materials and plan for our strategy to associates
• Preparation of strategic presentations with MWLT / Senior stakeholders
• Lead the periodic 'portfolio execution' process by gathering performance and financial inputs from Program and Project Managers to assist the organization in understanding progress against its intended ambitions.
• Identify the issues holding the organization back the successful execution of the initiatives and facilitate conversations within the Portfolio leadership team to define escalations and trade-offs.
• In partnership with S&F, manage the Portfolio budget on behalf of the business.
Project Management & Transformation
• Lead cross functional teams, which may include experts in Merchandising, Planning, Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality, IT, Marketing, and Retail Operations, to plan and flawlessly execute the various program to meet or exceed both customer expectations.
• Create Program/Project collaboration framework, to ensure the vision, individual roles and ways of workings are well understood and observed.
• Assume responsibility of the supported initiatives to ensure it is delivered on time, within budget, on scope and to required quality standards.
• Define and improve the ways of working within the project team and customer group and designate the most appropriate project management methodologies (Agile / Waterfall) for each initiative.
Leadership
• At every opportunity; guide, coach and drive clarity of expectations for your program / project teams
• Where applicable, leverage high performance collaboration and engagement tools to create inspiration, a sense of purpose and belonging.
• Personal Development; Keep abreast of managerial and technical competencies across Mars Retail Group and in the broader network. Proactively seek opportunities and incorporate into annual development plans for self and team.
