The Planning Analytics and Workforce Strategies (PAWS) team within the Amazon Grocery Logistics (AGL) org owns workforce planning integration and strategic support for businesses including Amazon Fresh (Fulfillment Centers and Distribution Centers), Customer Experience Operations (CXO), Whole Foods Market (WFM) as well as 3rd Party (3P) merchants partnering with Amazon. The AGL-PAWS team develops and manages a Workforce Planning Product Suite that solves for the unique challenges and requirements of ultrafast businesses via customizable, operator-friendly tools and processes.
We are looking for a dynamic, experienced Program Manager with a strong delivery record and proven success to own key aspects of Grocery workforce planning/management, including managing and optimizing shift posting systems and processes. A highly analytical candidate with project management experience is an ideal fit, as this role will require cross-functional partnership with multiple operational and technical teams (Workforce Planning, Field Ops, Business Intelligence Engineers, Business Analytics, Data Engineering, Workforce Staffing, Change Enablement, Tech, Finance , HR, Legal and other teams as applicable) to lead, influence and support business critical projects and initiatives.
Due to the nature of the business, you will also be expected to interact internally with senior-level audiences to provide updates and make strategic recommendations that will achieve the long-term vision for optimal balance between associate experience and business/customer needs. Documentation of requirements, project management and cross-team coordination skills are essential.
Key job responsibilities
Lead and participate in cross-functional work to scope and execute complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders
Gather and analyze data to identify ways to improve, centralize, standardize and automate processes
Work autonomously in an ambiguous environment, seeking to understand business problems, automation limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions and reasons behind leadership decisions
Develop, implement, report and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones, and performance across all projects
Roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; general manager / owner mentality

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of program or project management experience
3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation logistics
Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
High attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple competing projects and priorities simultaneously
Ability to analyze data to develop/communicate insights to various audiences (teammates, partner teams and leadership)
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation logistics
Experience in labor planning or workforce management, particularly within a retail operations context
Practical application of project management and operations methodologies including PMP/Lean Six Sigma/Kaizen
Advanced knowledge of analytical tools such as SQL, Tableau, MS Excel, or Microsoft Access

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
