  Program Manager I / Program Manager II Military Space Operations

  What Youll Do:

  Partner with leadership of the Military Space strategic business unit (SBU) (including mission area directors and program managers) and Ball Aerospace support units to support explosive growth with efficient and effective operations.

  Help set the strategy for Military Space operations efforts for proactive planning of new programs and capabilities required.

  Support day to day execution of Ball customer contracts for hardware builds sustainment programs by leading integrated teams and technical personnel in support of infrastructure projects and strategy to support growth of Military Space SBU and Ball Aerospace overall.

  Develop, in conjunction with MTO, a concept of operations for long term operations and sustainment for execution of large program, multi-builds, decadal life cycle, to increase competitive landscape and develop discriminators.

  Support proposal development by leading multi-discipline execution risk reviews in support of VP and President-level reviews.

  Responsibilities include mission understanding, establishing customer needs (internal and external) and developing them into Business/Technical Requirements for the strategic capability units (SCU) and establishing portfolio priorities for them.

  Establishing business case, scope and schedule parameters for SCUs to execute on capital investment projects and in providing ongoing operational support.

  Face-to-face interaction with customers and contractors to respond to requests for information, support to technical meetings, technical interchanges and enterprise working groups.

  Leading a collaborative team comprised of program leadership and technical personnel at all levels, business management, facilities, ITS, information assurance, security, and mission assurance, as appropriate be a liaison between Military Space and these organizations.

  Provide lessons-learned database and portfolio view and dissemination, incorporating those into infrastructure plans providing implementation insight to new programs.

  Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.

  Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company.Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

  Perform other duties as necessary.

  What Youll Need:

  Program Manager I BS/BA in related field plus 10 years or more related experience.

  Program Manager II BS/BA in related field plus 12 years or more related experience.

  Each higher-level degree, i.e., Masters Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.

  A current, active TS/SCI security clearance required.

  Demonstrated knowledge of operations management for Military or Defense programs and infrastructure to meet needs of DOD/IC customers.

  Strong system engineering knowledge and operations skills.

  Ability to quickly come up to speed on technical and management efforts currently underway.

  Knowledge of related disciplines in software engineering, hardware and manufacturing engineering, integration, test engineering, quality engineering, configuration/data management.

  Ability to effectively work with people at all levels and with outside customers and willingness to contribute wherever and however needed.

  Ability to provide leadership and guidance to program activities and staff.

  Excellent interpersonal skills, strong communication and presentation skills, and ability to lead group discussions.

  On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location.Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations will be required.

  Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, clean room, or production floor.

  Verification that your current security clearance or government customer access meets the requirement for this position will be required.

  Relocation for this position is notavailable.

  Compensation & Benefits:

  HIRING SALARY RANGE FOR PROGRAM MANAGER I: $144,000 - $199,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

  HIRING SALARY RANGE FOR PROGRAM MANAGER II: $162,000 - $223,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
