Are you looking to drive strategic cost improvement initiatives for the leader in the Medical Technology industry. As a core member of the Value Analysis/Value Engineering team supporting Enterprise Engineering, you will have responsibility to lead cost improvement projects.
Projects managed in VAVE is critical to delivering on our 5-year strategic savings targets and ensuring the team is well positioned to drive continued value creation opportunities.

A Day in The Life Of:
• Manages one or more design change projects/programs from feasibility through execution and closure
• Leads cross functional teams to evaluate and prioritize projects and ensure successful completion of projects and business goals to deliver on margin expansion opportunities
• Develop, communicate, and document project strategies and plans including budget, milestones/detailed schedule creation/maintenance, and KPIs
• Facilitate project team meetings: prepare agenda, facilitate discussion during meeting, take and distribute meeting minutes
• Track project spending by providing monthly forecasts on upcoming spending; forecast resource and skill set needs for the project and participate in resourcing discussions/negotiation
• Assists VAVE Leaders in organizing VAVE events across all platforms
• Creates business cases for projects and prepares initial project plan with estimated costs & savings
• Works closely with team members to ensure adherence to VAVE governance process; may own a portion of the governance process and associated deliverables
• Responsible for development of project requirements
Key Skills & Experience
• Third Level 8 Degree or higher in Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering or related discipline with strong project management experience and desirably with experience in a similar role.
• Comfortable in speaking in front of large groups.
• Extensive experience leading projects/programs that impact design.
• Strong preference for PMP certification.
• Financial management skills
• Medical Device industry experience
• Demonstrated strong business acumen and planning experience.
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal, listening (with all levels of the organization)
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to influence business leaders and individual contributors.
• MS Project software experience
