Northrop Grumman's MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) provides real-time intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) over vast ocean and coastal regions. The aircraft can fly for more than 24 hours at a time, at an altitude above 55,000 feet and an operational range of 8,200 nautical miles. Australia is a cooperative program partner in the Triton program which consists of the US Navy, Royal Australian Air Force and Northrop Grumman.
About the role
As a Program Management Accountant in the newly established Triton Program, your role will be pivotal in shaping its financial landscape. Reporting to the Triton Program Business Manager, you'll be entrusted with a broad spectrum of responsibilities, ranging from managing daily accounting tasks to analysing financial performance drivers and identifying trends. Your involvement will span detailed financial reporting, including variance analysis, rolling forecasts, and cash flow forecasts and more. Your expertise will be critical in conducting variance analysis of business performance against budgets and forecasts, and you'll play a key role in suggesting improvement actions.
In this role, your technical skills are as vital as your soft skills, given the Program's nascent stage. Resilience, autonomy, and strong stakeholder management and engagement abilities are essential. You will work closely with various teams, including the Triton Program Leadership, Contracts, Supply Chain as well as NGA Financial Controller team, necessitating effective communication and cross-functional collaboration. You'll also play a key role in the continuous improvement of business processes, systems, and controls.
