Responsibilities:
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.The Program Leader, Energy Analytics will lead vendor activities related to large-scale energy-as-a-service and energy-solutions programs. They will be responsible for analyzing ESCO and supplier contracts, ensuring alignment with Global and Regional Procurement organizations, and identifying synergies across a portfolio of initiatives. Specific responsibilities include...Evaluating energy service companies (ESCOs), analyzing long-term (5-20 year) contracts based on fixed and variable payment, and ensuring on-going compliance and performance.Coordinating with the Global Procurement organization, Regional Procurement teams, mill finance, and corporate treasure/finance to ensure on-time delivery and compliance.Identifying synergies across vendors/suppliers to decrease cost, ensure on-time delivery, and minimize mill impacts.Analyzing market opportunities, including vendors, parts, products, and services, along with subsequent recommendations for Kimberly-Clark.
Scope:
This position functions as an important component of the Energy Analytics group, which is focused on reducing the cost-of-goods sold, minimizing Kimberly-Clark's carbon footprint, and strengthening the commitment to the consumer. The Assoc. Director, Energy Analytics Procurement will report to the Director, Energy Analytics to deliver targeted energy-as-a-service and energy-solutions programs. They will partner across a matrixed organization, including with peers in Global, Regional, and Mill functions.
Competencies/ Skills & Requirements:
• Change management experience at the working (plant) and executive level.
• Understanding of current procurement trends and contract types.
• Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills.
• Advanced vendor-negotiation and management skills.
• Knowledge of energy-as-a-service contract types.
• Knowledge of technical engineering or experience in a technical role preferred.
• High interpersonal and communications skills to motivate, coach & lead a diverse group of team members.
Qualifications/Education/Experience Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 8+ years of relevant professional experience, with 3+ years in a procurement role.
• Ability to guide vendors and suppliers from initial introduction to signed contracts.
• Ability to influence without authority within a matrix organization
• Previously demonstrated ability to successfully lead the execution of a global, regional or functional strategic initiative with proven business results.
• Superb communication skills, written and verbal, utilizing a clear and concise manner across various levels of the organization
• Excellent judgment, interpersonal skills, cultural awareness and professional maturity with executive presentation experience, comfortable interacting with senior executive leadership, lead, facilitate and manage change effectively
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
