What You’ll Get to Do:
Duties may include contract accounting and reporting, project schedule focus to management, tracking annual fiscal plans and monthly updates.
Maintain contract budgets, prepares contract-billing, estimates materials, equipment, production costs and delivery schedules.
Comply with financial controls, procedures, system requirements, and forecasting techniques, as directed, to evaluate contract/program status and ensure compliance with government and customer requirements.
Monitor progress of program requirements and cost performance against plans to ensure contractual cost obligations are met.
Perform financial/administrative reporting for contracts and/or programs.
Prepare financial/administrative reports and distribute to customers/user organizations.
Conduct financial analysis (variance analysis, risk analysis, profit/loss analysis, etc.).
Help create and maintain program resource plan.
More About the Role :
Ensure that projects are set up to properly capture costs, recognize revenue, and bill customers.
Ensure compliance with all applicable policies and procedures regarding project setup and update project information periodically as needed.
Forecast preparation.
Primary focus is to ensure Annual Plan and Monthly Forecast submissions are accurately completed by the specified due dates. Review and final submission is completed by the higher level of Finance Management within NSIS Finance.
Reporting.
Perform routine and non-routine project financial reporting including, but not limited to: Project Profit and Loss Statements, Project Status Reports, Project Management Review (PMR) Reports, 75% Funding Notifications, Estimates to Complete, Estimates at Completion, Forecast and Budget Reports, Invoice Backup Reports, and various other client-specific reports.
This will include reviewing timecards, travel vouchers, payment allocations, funding statements, etc. to verify all entries are compliant with policies and procedures and building complex spreadsheets and "What If" scenarios etc.
Review, analyze, and advise PMs on price models provided by Pricing Dept.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field and/or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in project related finance planning and analysis
Ability to handle subcontract requirements to include analyze spend plans for financials anomalies to burn rates, manage incremental funding requirements, ensure accrual requests meet deadline requirements, monitor timecard entries and signatures and QA invoicing for accurate cost allocations.
Ability to handle large volume travel requirements to include government travel request form and submit to COR for approval. Work with employees to ensure timely and accurate submittal of cost into reimbursable system (Chrome River). Accurately monitor expenditures to ensure billable vs non billable costs are properly coded and billed to contract in accordance with contract requirements.
Experience preparing and adjusting journal entries, reconciling various types of accounts and invoices in a timely manner.
Experience building reports and charts based on verbal guidance for various internal and external requirements.
Experience maintaining accurate forecasts for multiple active programs
Must be able to analyze plans, forecasts, actual costs, variances and communicate trends to the program, line, and financial management.
Strong Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, PIVOT Tables, etc.) skills.
Professional Skills:
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with a sustained high level of attention to detail.
Must be a quick study and highly adaptable problem solver to assist the Program Manager with the ever-changing needs of our clients.
Strong time management, interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have :
Experience with Deltek Costpoint, IBM COGNOS, and Oracle CAPS, SmartView, MS PowerPoint.
Active Secret clearance.
