We are seeking a Professional Engineer (Senior Project Manager) tocapture and manage transportation CE&I projects primarily for ITD andLHTAC. The project manager position is a key position within J-U-Bscorporate structure, providing leadership in capturing and executingprojects, while also mentoring and supporting staff. This position willreport directly to the Area Manager in either the Meridian or LewisClark Valley Office. The person selected for Meridian will generallysupport clients and projects in the geography related to ITD Districts 3and 4 and the person selected in the Lewis Clark Valley Office willgenerally support clients and projects in the geography related to ITDDistricts 1 and 2. However, there may a different combination ofDistricts or projects in other locations that are included as well.
Project Management Roles
Lead a team(s) consisting of a lead inspector, support field staff, anda document controls specialist to oversee and administer full CE&Iservices on transportation projects in Idaho including federal-aidprojects for ITD and LHTAC.
Provide technical expertise in all facets of construction management forsurface transportation projects including interpreting plans,specification, estimates, and critical path schedules.
Provide oversight of all documentation and document controls forprojects including federal-aid.
Develop scope, schedule, budget and contract documents for J-U-B, forclient review and approval.
Manage project performance based on the approved scope, schedule, andbudget.
Be responsible for project communication and updates with team andclient, and supervisor.
Participate in constructability and budget reviews during projectdesign.
Leadership Roles
Supervise, mentor, and coach support staff.
Support Area Manager and Construction Manager in the development ofstaff and market sector.
Business Development Roles
Lead marketing/business development activities for transportation CE&I.
Track future opportunities and develop strategy to win opportunities.
Assist in making go/no-go decisions on RFPs and RFIs.
Develop partnering and teaming strategy.
Leading the development of a proposal with support from JUBs proposalgroup.
Help grow J-U-Bs CE&I market space through collaboration with othersdoing similar work across Idaho.
Collaborate with other engineers and public agencies (Airports/FAA,Transportation Departments, State, Counties/Cities, FHWA, etc.) onprojects.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management orequivalent is required.
A current Idaho PE license required
Min. 15 years of progressive transportation engineering (constructionmanagement) experience
Expertise as a project manager for CE&I required
Experience with ITD and/or LHTAC CE&I required
Proven ability to work with others and to manage project schedules andde
