About Production Team Member I

  CO Salary Range: USD 20.50 - 25.00 per hour

  General Purpose:

  Production Team Members perform a variety of tasks associated with the production of Wind Turbine Nacelles. This level focuses on learning your role with emphasis on safety and quality standards

  Day Shift: Monday through Thursday 5am-3:30PM (Friday off)

  Responsibilities:

  Operate all manufacturing equipment efficiently and safelyFollow Process Work Instructions, Manual production processing, Fit and assemble parts into complete assembly (such as bolts, screws, shafts or bearings)Learn safety and quality improvement processes. Clean and organize work area according to 5S requirementsDemonstrate ability to meet production standards on specific tasks within required time. Contributes to the achievement of team goalsComplete tasks with high level of Safety and Quality standardsRequired to be Safety-Minded. Will safely do the right thing, every time, without being told

  Be a reliable team member by showing attendance within the requirementsLift, position, and/or remove material from work areasLoad, stack and transport materials by hand, truck, crane or jibFollow work process instructions specific to job taskAdhere to Production Worker Instructions (PWI)Collaborative and effective team player and able to work with teams Mechanical and Electrical Assembly (such as mounting wires, cables and terminations)All other duties as assigned

  Essential Functions:

  Must be able to see and hear alarms, timers and follow verbal instructionsMust be able to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the taskMust be able to tolerate an environment where chemicals and materials are used within OSHA guidelinesAbility to work at a pace in accordance to a takt plan that still meets safety and quality requirementsRegular & reliable attendanceclimb up and down stairslift a NIOSH box weighing 30# from 20 inches to 28inches

  Education, Training, and Skills Required:

  High school diploma or general education degree (GED).Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memosCompletion of on-the-job training may be substituted for experience requirementsEstablished work history of at least one year in preferably manufacturingExperience working on teamsAbility to adapt to a changing environmentSet a good example of personal integrityAbility to communicate effectively on the job Use measuring tools and gauges

  Ability to read and comprehend Work Process Instructions and translate that into the ability to perform the tasks requiredAccurately complete Quality and Administrative documentsAbility to complete tasks by using small tools Must be able to see and hear alarms, timers and follow verbal instructionsMust be able to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the taskMust be able to tolerate an environment where chemicals and materials are used within OSHA guidelinesMust demonstrate that they can sit on a rolling stool and maneuver 40 feetCandidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to reach overhead and assemble nutsand bolts for 5 consecutive minutesCandidate must be able to demonstrate that they kneel on 1 knee, squat, bend over so hands are at a height of knees for 4 minutes (1 minute each)Candidate must demonstrate that they can climb up and down 8 stairsCandidate must demonstrate that they can lift a NIOSH box weighing 30# from 20 inches to 28inches

Heavy industrial work environment, variance from moderate noise level to loud machine noise from production floor (ear protection may be required during specific processes

  Employees are responsible to perform duties related to generating and storing hazardous waste in satellite accumulation areas. Must remain within regulatory and internal compliance when using, handling, or segregating hazardous materials and waste.
