AbbVie’s operations in Carrigtwohill, Cork is a modern bulk tablet finish facility which manufactures solid and capsule formulations. Innovative new technologies, in combination with the depth of expertise that exists within the local workforce, has allowed those based there to develop and deliver products and processes to support AbbVie’s wider global needs. These range from small scale clinical trial supply to large commercial manufacturing.
We are currently looking for a Production Supervisor. In this role, you will support the Production Manager in the day to day running of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
· To support manufacturing operations of commercial manufacturing team in line with all safety, regulatory and operational requirements from a technical perspective.
· Assure the long-term effectiveness of the team: deliver high levels of customer service, ensure quality of product and services, comply with all regulatory requirements, achieve desired financial performance including cost reductions, and build an inclusive culture of high performance as part of the team.
· Create an environment where safety is the number one priority in every activity that you do, driving safety improvements and conducting safety Gemba´s routinely.
· Be present on the floor promoting a culture of zero safety incidents in compliance with all EHS requirements.
· Proactively review daily work activities to highlight any high-risk activities.
· Driving engagement with your team by having regular 1:1’s (at least monthly), set clear expectations, give feedback, conduct performance reviews and having survey actions plans in place.

· Supporting and promoting a culture of Equity, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in order to build strong, capable teams.
· Ensure the use and sustainability of management infrastructure such as tools, trackers, visual management, tier meetings and Gemba walks among others. Engage team members when using management infrastructure to maximize impact on day-to-day work (e.g. tier meetings, Gemba walks).
· Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory agencies and support any agency or customer audits in terms of shopfloor and shift preparation.
· As part of daily Tier meeting identify critical process steps that will take place during your shift and ensure they are appropriately supervised.
· Responsible for complete cycle time management and continuously seek to identify improvements.
· Responsible for change-over time management and continuously seek to identify improvements.
· Supports the documentation and/or investigation of NCRs, CPs etc.
· Develop direct reports by securing appropriate training and assigning progressively challenging tasks.
Education and Experience
· 3 rd level Degree in Engineering, Science, a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience
· 3+ years in a GMP manufacturing environment (equivalent experience considered)
· Strong leadership capability, building and growing teams with leadership experience
