Role Description
As part of the Supply Chain Production Scheduling team the Production Scheduler will deliver a finite production schedule and ensure all commitments for Production Plan of Record are achieved. Utilise and build upon existing processes to manage and plan all non-production related activities including planned maintenance and calibration activities to ensure all project milestones and Quality and Compliance requirements are met. Respond to changes in Plan of record and High-Level Schedules to identify constraints and identify and propose mitigations.
How You Will Achieve It
Liaise with the Supply Chain Planner to create, maintain and communicate the production schedule.Conduct weekly 'handshake' meeting with Production Planner to discuss priorities and to monitor / control schedule break-ins.Liaise with Operations for schedule attainment visibility and planned / unplanned downtime; Share the production schedule and priorities; Maintain up to date schedule visibility.Updates the Standard Work Plan to reflect any changes to timelines.Liaise with Maintenance & Calibration teams to ensure all monthly calibrations, PMs and ECO's are scheduled.Create, schedule, and adjust downtime holds to maintain accurate system capacity reflecting detailed resource and labour availability.Use finite production scheduling and process models to create "what if" scenarios to enable ramp up of production cadence, optimise product changeover and plan for lead in and recovery from delays/warm downs/shutdowns.Interface with Supply Chain Operations Scheduler to create efficiencies for OpU & Supply Chain.Point of contact for Standard Work Scheduling in the Digital Operations Centre.Ownership of Batch Tracker forum for OpU and report out on key Balanced Scorecard metrics.Monitor the schedule backlog and re-schedule delayed orders based on priorities provided and detailed schedule flags.Maintain and report out on Manufacturing Schedule Attainment, Batch Completions and POR Plan vs Actual.Use system reports to ensure all raw materials and components are available for production for assigned brands as well as supporting the budgeting process.Identify potential bottlenecks and provide options around eliminating such bottlenecks.Manage a structured business process to ensure all non-standard work is scheduled in a controlled manner.Support Scheduling activities associated with New Product Introductions in conjunction with project teams.Responsible for the Bill of Materials process and meetings and will coordinate all changes with relevant stakeholders while managing all changes through Quality Tacking Systems.Participate/Lead OE (Operation Excellence) initiatives.Support shift Continuous improvement projects and method 1's in relation to SAP and material issues.Support the generation of documentation including SOP and MBR generation.Assist in the preparation of reports/presentations as required.Carrying out System Care activities and participate in System Care meetings to drive accuracy in ERP.Support investigations in relation to SAP and material issuesProvide a single point of contact for ERP incidents, project initiatives and support.
Qualifications
Third Level Qualification in in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Studies, or similar discipline.Ideally 3 plus years of production scheduling, planning, project management and/or inventory management experience using MRP system within a manufacturing environment.Must have In-depth user knowledge of SAP MRP.Excellent computer skills Microsoft O365 including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.An excellent understanding of process manufacturing/computer systems, and demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and train others.Good Experience using Lean Manufacturing principles.Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsRelevant pharmaceutical experienceRelated manufacturing material management experience
