We are looking for Production Order Planner. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.
Position Overview
Specifically drives coordination for Make to Order Manufacturing production of all material into individual manufacturing areas in support of the highest possible customer delivery reliability. Proactively communicates any changes in production schedules.
Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of materials and information through the production cycle: prioritizes production schedules, customer orders, work orders, and manages requisitions for service related work. Provides a high level of proficiency utilizing data systems in the support of the planning activities. Coordinates flow of information and material, both internally produced and externally sourced to the individual manufacturing areas to support customer delivery needs. Communicates and collaborates with all departments as necessary to meet customer requirements i.e. Purchasing, Order Management, Quality, Project Management, Logistics etc.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the daily, weekly, and monthly scheduling of production requirements to balance load while maintaining on-time delivery of components to downstream operations.
Responsible for proactively communicating production schedules, identifying and mitigating risks that could have an adverse effect on completion dates.
Responsible for the coordination material movement within the facility to maintain production schedule and flow of material through the factory.
Review, expedite and ensure materials are available for production.
Supply proper and complete paperwork to manufacturing. Provide maintenance as required, such as rescheduling, cancelling, etc.
Communicates with all departments on material shortages. Ex: Purchasing, manufacturing areas, Customer Services, etc.
Conducts regular floor checks to ensure materials / orders are progressing on-time. Communicates in an expeditious manner when production schedule timelines are at risk.
Knows production status of each order, including components upstream and downstream, to provide accurate up to date production schedules.
Ensures material has been issued for all production orders and escalates if needed.

Basic Qualifications:
Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) must be very strong at excel.
1+ years' of vocation/technical training
2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
SAP experience—preferably within production planning module
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Forklift, stock picker, reach truck experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
HS diploma or equivalent
Salesforce, SAP/SPIRDON, SAP/WM module
Knowledge of bill of materials (BOM) structures
Manufacturing process knowledge
Machining process knowledge
Ability to read and understand drawing/documents.

The pay for this position is $24.79/Hour. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
