Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Manufacturing/Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods and ensure component flow. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.
Shift: Swing shift (6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm,except Fridays 6am to 1pm / 1pm to 8pm)
PRIMARY PURPOSE
As a Product Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards for our components. Your primary responsibility will be to inspect and assess products at various stages of the manufacturing process, contributing to the overall excellence and safety of our products.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Product Inspection:
Conduct thorough inspections of components, sub-assemblies, and finished products to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements.
Utilize precision measurement tools, gauges, and testing equipment to verify dimensions, tolerances, and material properties.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, documenting findings and deviations from quality standards.
Generate inspection reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders, collaborating with production teams to address any issues promptly.
Collaboration:
Work closely with manufacturing engineers, production managers, and quality assurance teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
Provide feedback to production teams on quality trends and areas for improvement.
Continuous Improvement:
Contribute to the development and enhancement of inspection procedures, ensuring they align with industry best practices and company objectives.
Participate in cross-functional teams aimed at improving overall manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Performing 2nd operation tasks as required by the business needs, e.g. deburring, running 2nd operations machinery (vibro, spinner, degreaser, blasting cabinets)What your background should look like:
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in manufacturing or a related industry, with a focus on product inspection and quality control.
• Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good general education to GCSE level.
