  Working under the California Operations Plant Director, the Production Manager will lead all activities associated with their production line(s). This individual will be responsible for developing and motivating a team of salaried and hourly employees to deliver safe, quality, and cost-effective production following King's Hawaiian standards and Aloha Spirit. The successful candidate will be a well-respected people leader, a natural problem-solver, and have an entrepreneurial drive to overcome unexpected obstacles on the fly. Employees in this position will interact with a broad range of colleagues - from front-line team members to company executives.

  ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  Develop and manage a high-performing operations team - from front-line to Supervisor level - through hiring, coaching, mentoring, setting expectations, and providing fair accountability with an Aloha spiritEmbody company values of Dignity, Excellence, and Telling It Like It Is in a Way That Can Be HeardAct as a Safety champion, ensuring that team culture embodies a "safety first, safety always" attitude with policies, procedures, and accountability to protect our 'ohana's safetyMeet business demand by scheduling production runs to meet needs while upholding King's Hawaiian's Irresistible quality standardsOwn all metrics about production line(s) - safety, quality, productivity, budget, etc.Create and execute strategies to improve performance for all major metrics (safety, quality, performance, people, etc.)Leverages continuous improvement strategies to meet growing business demands and manufacturing needs.Meet regularly with direct reports to provide developmental feedback and coachingEnsure compliance with all King's Hawaiian policies and procedures (Safety, EEO, Sexual Harassment, Quality, etc.)Cultivate trust and buy-in from your team by acting as an owner - show a level of urgency, respect, and persistence as if you truly "owned" the businessRole may require off-shift and/or weekend workPerform other duties as required which are reasonably within the scope of this role

  BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

  Required - Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year college or equivalent relevant experiencePreferred - Engineering or Operations Management focusRequired - At least 5 - 7 years of progressively responsible experience in manufacturing, preferably in food manufacturingPreferred - Experience and/or working knowledge of Continuous Improvements (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma)Preferred - Working knowledge of Autonomous Maintenance and Total Productive MaintenanceRequired - Minimum 3 years of experience directly leading salaried and/or hourly team membersRequired - Proficiency with all MS Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS (JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES, KNOWLEDGE)

  Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANAProficient knowledge of Continuous Improvements, Total Productive Maintenance, particularly Autonomous MaintenanceDeveloping knowledge of SAP Digital Manufacturing CloudProficient with RedZone Productivity SuiteProficient with Excel and/or Tableau for dashboard buildingStrong verbal and written communication skills - ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization

  Physical Demands

  The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, taste, or smell. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 - 25 pounds, and occasionally more than 50 pounds with assistance from co-workers and/or mechanic devices. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  Work Environment

  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee will be handling items that may be very hot. The noise level is usually moderate. Must be available to work overtime, nights, weekends, and Holidays.

  Compensation Range: $117,500 - $167,500
