What you’ll do:
Eaton's B-Line, Calgary is currently looking for a high-energy, results-oriented individual that works well in a team for a Production Line Welder opportunity in the Calgary facility.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Below is a general overview of the job duties and responsibilities of an Eaton's B-Line,
Calgary Production Line Welder:
Operates MIG welding equipment to produce high quality welds on aluminum.
Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on welding fixtures.
Reads and understands product drawings (blueprints) and manufacturing orders.
Performs all duties of welder helper including product staging, clamping, and cleaning
Performs all duties of a punch press operator as required (occasional)
Participates in final staging and packing of materials as required
Enters data into SAP computer system to record production.
Maintains housekeeping to keep work areas clean and safe.
Other duties as assigned to maintain an efficient workflow throughout the business
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
One year of experience MIG welding on steel and aluminum, three years of production welding preferred.
Ability to read and interpret product drawings (blueprints).
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to follow instructions and procedures with little guidance.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
SAP experience.
Two-year degree or certification in welding technology or related field.
Experience in trouble shooting and repairs of some welding equipment.

Skills:
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Must have the ability to stand on feet continuously and regularly lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
Must be able to wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
May be exposed to high levels of noise and temperatures greater than 100 degrees
