Overview
As an Engineer, you'll design and implement technical solutions and configures applications in different environments in response to business problems. With the partial/ full ownership of Production platforms, you'll be required to ensure environment stability, expeditious and timely resolution of Production issues, ensuring minimal downtimes and continuity of services. Furthermore, you'll investigate, propose, and implement various solutions (standardizing where possible) to ensures stability and reliability of the application platforms. You will lead delivery of other members of the team and controls their work where applicable acts as a professional in the Technology Support team and provide front line support to the Business community for regulatory reporting applications and their associated components. You'll work collaboratively in teams on a wide range of projects based on your primary area of focus, learn to fix application and production issues as they arise, gain exposure to software development, deployment, maintenance, improvement, Automation in addition to production lifecycle methodologies and risk guidelines.

What You'll Do
Provide regional accountability for production support services across the application portfolio, pick up current issues, analyze and communicate effectively with development team(s) and stakeholders with possible solutions and next steps
Provide application analysis, incident management, change management, problem management, release and deployment skills, and production readiness and testing
Identify process inefficiencies and design solutions through automation utilizing existing tools, identify where improved monitoring could be applied and drive the solution to delivery, and support the production platform (carrying out monitoring and remediation of issues and specific maintenance tasks as per the run book procedures)
Work with Delivery Services e.g. (Fabric, Infrastructure, Cloud) on improvements to service availability and resilience, own the logs that track manual tasks, remediation, and system improvement, and be the second line of defense for Incident Management - gathering data for investigation and identification of root cause through to resolution
Define and create Run Book entries and knowledge articles based on incidents experienced in the production environment, carry out deep technical analysis of the production (to identify performance, stability, and resilience enhancements), Prioritize and diagnose incidents (according to agreed procedures), and investigate causes of incidents and seek resolution
Analyze and report on test activities and reports risk and issues associated with own work. Perform Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) functions by ensuring safe and reliable production
Skills You'll Need
Experience in Information Technology (IT) delivery in a large enterprise working on mission-critical IT systems working in an Agile environment, and proven history of working in a delivery model based on agreed Service Level agreements and working to continuously improve the efficiency and quality of service delivered
Understanding of change management processes, controls in large organizations, job scheduling, monitoring processes, envisioning, and driving full stack automation in medium to large sized groups
Experience on Axiom Tool. (Fed submission tool), resolving visual data tools (like Tableau / Spotfire / Alteryx), monitoring with the design and implementation of AI/ML and automation tools or tools like Geneos, Prometheus, Grafana
Understanding of JAVA, informatica, database (EXacc / Oracle / Structured Query Language (SQL) Server)
Expertise with problem analysis, solving in multiple layers (such as Linux, Database/ SQL), application, hardware, networking, incident, problem and change management processes within the ITSM framework (minimum must be ITIL V3 Foundation certified) and Proficient at using Service Management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA, etc.) and service monitoring tools

Adaptable/flexible to changing situations, exposure to Agile methodologies; experienced in influencing/engaging stakeholders to understand/support production strategy, risks, or challenges; Excellent problem-solving skills in a distributed, multi-technology ecosystems
Expectations
It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.
The salary range for this position in Cary is $85,000 to $120,750.Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
