Eaton's ES AMER PCS CA division is currently seeking a Production Assistant.
What you'll do:
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Satellite Plant Manager, this position interprets the Manufacturing Information documents in order to mechanically assemble, fit and install prefabricated parts or modify basic components, sub-assemblies and structures using hand and power tools for the site product lines.
This role is located at one of our Eaton Satellite locations (6 in total), which are located across Canada and comprise of smaller assemble-to-order facilities and complement our medium to large manufacturing facilities within Canada.

In this function you will:
• Thorough knowledge of all standard panel boards, switchboard and control product assemblies and all related materials required to complete the assembly.
• Able to make use of all equipment and machinery for fabricating of standard and some custom design products.
• Has a good understanding of mechanical and electrical theory, techniques, concepts, practices, and testing requirements.
• Understands the production scheduling process and material planning for all orders and will work in all departments as required with little supervision.
• Work from written or verbal instructions from site leadership, system generated picking documents and established work routines.
• Provide input and recommendations to improve effectiveness of work area.
• Provide assistance and guidance to co-workers as required.
• Effectively dispose of scrap material.
• Maintain Daily 5S responsibilities.
• Flexible to work overtime.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications
- Grade 12 diploma, GED or equivalent from an accredited institution is required.
- No relocation provided.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic to Intermediate computer skills including MS Office and database management.
- 2 years' experience in a fabrication/assembly environment.
- 1 years' experience in Lean Manufacturing implementation and continuous improvement techniques.

- Intermediate computer skills including familiarity with databases.
