Position Summary: The Product Support Manager Engines is responsible for the technical engine product support to Internal (Field Staff, Product Business Unit, Technical Literature Group, Parts Operation) and External requirements (Dealer Service Operations) – EMEA wide.
Role & Responsibility
Field Service Visits:
High priority technical engine issue investigation and troubleshooting
Voice of Customer collection
Identification and correction of technical product problems:
Identify technical engine issues from the field feedback/warranty, take necessary steps to isolate the root cause and provide technical solution (drive containment plan/corrective action)Field Staff & Internal Training:
Assist in identifying and creating content for technical engine service training material
Perform field staff (Service Manager) training (min 1 time/year) on annual product changes and new technology
Assist in technical engine service training to internals (where needed)
Engine OEM contract set-up and review:
Represent Service in engine OEM contract negotiation and mitigate with engine OEM, in case of dispute or non-performance escalationService Communication:
Provide technical material content related to engine troubleshooting/issue resolution
Provide status update to field staff on technical engine issues
Technical support in “New Product Development” projects:
Follow up on Engine “New Product Development” related Service tasks. Identify requirements for aftermarket service support (diagnostic tools, licenses, special tools, …) and set-up process with OEM engine supplier for service support (where needed)

Job Requirement
Education & Qualification: Engineering - Masters Degree / Allow Equivalent
Language:English, Other languages are an asset
Extensive technical engine knowledge and experience (preferably in Automotive)
Excellent understanding of customer requirements
Ability to negotiate and mitigate with engine OEM suppliers
Well organized and able to manage multiple engine OEM suppliers at different levels
Good understanding of communication protocols (CAN, LIN, …) and emission control systems
Good communication skills, verbal and written
Good computer skills (MS office)
Autonomous
Experience: 5>7 years
5 years similar position for engine OEM manufacturer or large equipment sales company
Travel Standard: 10 - 24 %
