  WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  Identifies and pursues new sales prospects within existing or untapped markets. Gathers market intelligence, generates leads, and develops proposals/campaigns to garner new business, ensuring a consistent flow of new revenues to the company. Uses knowledge of markets, industries, and clients to determine demand, future trends and potential projects.

  The Rates & FX area is responsible for sales, trading, and other business activities related to currencies. The Product Specialist - Rates is responsible for leading the Company's business development efforts throughout the assigned region targeting larger scale clients. The incumbent will drive the growth and retention of existing client relationships, build new client relationships, and provide the full breadth of the Company's products and services to clients and prospects. The trader should demonstrate disciplined risk taking and be able to react quickly to changing market conditions. Assessment of risk taking limits should be reviewed periodically with the appropriate areas.

  Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements:

  Leads the Company's business development efforts throughout the assigned region targeting larger scale clients.Provides the full breadth of the Company's products and services to clients and prospects.Oversees deal teams during underwriting process and transaction due diligence.Oversees production of offering memoranda and engagement letters.Develops and maintains relationships with participating lenders to ensure adequate market demand for syndicated loans originated by the Company.Participates in joint calling effort with bankers in an effort to uncover syndicated opportunities with our clients.Partners with Relationship Managers on new business development opportunities related to syndicated bank loans.

  Education:

  Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent field. (Req.)Master's degree in Business or equivalent field. (Pref.)

  Work Experience:

  12+ years Business Development, Product Specialist Management, or related experience.

  Skills and Abilities:

  Demonstrated thought leader in banking products and services.Very strong interpersonal communication skills, complemented by both excellent verbal and written communicationExpert presentation and public speaking skillsStrong relationship management and negotiation skillsStrong organizational skills and detail orientation, as well as analytical skillsDemonstrated complex contact negotiation/creation skillsAbility to work remotely and independentlyAbility to influence and drive complex initiatives and manage logistics with internal stakeholdersAbility to travel within assigned territory as requiredAbility to analyze/understand leading technologies and companiesStrong analytical / problem solving skillsAbility to translate data into informationDemonstrated ability to motivate and influence others

  Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.

  For NYC Job Applicants: The base annual salary range for this position is $207,000-$320,000. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
