Eaton's ES AMER PCS CA division is currently seeking a Product Specialist, Fire Pump Controllers. This is a hybrid role and candidates must live within 80km of Airdrie, Alberta.
What you'll do:
The Product Specialist, Fire Pump Controllers, under the general functional direction of the Product Manager, assists the General Sales Force (GSF & Agents) to obtain orders from Distributors, OEM's, and Pump representatives. The Product Specialist, Fire Pump Controllers, provides product support (technical, application, etc.) to GSF, Agents and Customers. The Product Specialist, Fire Pump Controllers, will be located out of the Airdrie, Alberta facility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton's Philosophy and Values as well as the Safety and Environmental standards.Produce quotations for custom Fire Pump Control (FPC) products while employing value creation strategies to maximize opportunity potential and standard profit margins.Work with FPC marketing and manufacturing staff to: improve products technically, monitor competitor organizations, and assist with new product designs.Ensure that the needs of the General Sales Force for direction, information, tools, and training are met to enable them to exceed sales goals as directed by the Product Manager.Assist Customer Liaison with customer order entry and management by providing custom layout drawings / schematics for submission with customer quotations.Provide technical support and assistance to our customers and agents.Resolve warranty issues.Provide feedback to product line on customer needs and applications not currently provided.Prepare and/or assist with Product Launch Materials/Manuals/Literature.Attend industry tradeshows and association meetings as directed by the Product Manager.Work with and train new co-workers.Perform other duties, as required.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications (Must have):
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technologist Diploma.3 years' experience in the electrical industry either in technical support, product specialist, sales or customer service role.Knowledge of MS Office; with strong experience with Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future.No relocation provided. Candidates must live within 80 km of Airdrie, Alberta.
Preferred qualifications (Nice to have):
Technical Professional Designation (P.Eng., CET, C.Tech.).Demonstrated superior selling skills for important customer products and applications under a variety of challenging circumstances.Knowledge of AutoCAD.
