We are looking for a talented Product Owner - CST / WWSPS to join our team specializing in Marketing for our Corporate/CBS Segment in Columbus, IN / your remote home office.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Manages key product line lifecycles. Understands market and industry trends. Leads the marketing initiatives for new product introduction and existing product change introduction. Develops the long-term product line strategy, forecast, and the annual operating plan. Provides product line budget requirements into the business unit annual operating plan. Leads the development of product introduction plans. Develops all aspects of the marketing mix to ensure the successful launch of new products and throughout the subsequent lifecycle. Presents marketing approach for functional review and to the change management review group. Leads pricing activity throughout the product lifecycle. Leads available marketing resources and uses those resources appropriately and as needed to support the product range. Ensures that the product branding strategy is implemented effectively and leads and supports internal and external communications in relations to the product range. Protects intellectual property of the organization and works with legal counsel and engineering to ensure asset protection. Defines and adopts, in the target market, a specific stance relative to the competition with the use of market research capabilities. Leads improvement of customer satisfaction and solves ongoing customer issues in relation to the product range. Leads management of the product lifecycle; determines when products should be deemed obsolete. Develops, implements, and measures results of product promotions. Engages with other functions and global locations to ensure global profitability of the product line. Recommends marketing process changes that will improve Value Package Introduction and Value Package Change processes. Coaches and motivates. Associate Product Managers; provides guidance and direction on problems and issues; delegates work assignments considering employee skills and development needs. Qualifications

Marketing Plan Management - Develops marketing mix recommendations based on the 4 P's (Product, Price, Promotion, and Placement) to meet customer needs and achieve business objectives; guides and influences cross-functional implementation and creates framework to evaluate market responses and business performance. Maximizing Profitability - Develops strategies that demonstrate the use of all marketing and sales levers (e.g. pricing strategies, promotions, volume-based incentives, and value, feature, or benefit selling) to optimize profit. Positioning For Target Segments - Aggregates appropriate inputs (e.g. customer perceptions, competitor positioning, alternative product capabilities) and determining where we need or want to compete for business within the target market segment. Product Life Cycle Management - Identifies and executes changes to the product portfolio in response to evolving market dynamics and customer needs. Education, Licenses, Certifications College, university, or equivalent degree in Marketing, Sales, technical or related subject required. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience Intermediate level of relevant work experience required. This role manages Cummins Service Training (CST) and World Wide Service Provider System (WWSPS) as Agile Product Owner. Tasks for role include but not limited to: Discovery Validation Liaison with Dev and other functional teams Agile development JIRA Backlog Grooming Sprint Prioritizations Defines Features and Stories Story Readiness and Acceptance Release Planning Sprint Sessions Manage Current PI activities/status Define and Translate Business asks Lead Requirements Gathering Lead UAT testing Also, helps and contributes with: Vision/Roadmap Release Planning Clarity Backlog Prioritization Needs and Feature Definition Training, UAT and Roll Outs Defect Management PI Sessions Supplier integration management Manage CPS and Ticket process Engage with Admin on Product Support Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary range commensurate with experience, range: $84,000-$126,000. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
