  Target Start Date: Summer/Fall 2024

  This position will be located in Hillsboro, OR.

  The Team:

  The Supply Chain Operations (SCO) team manages several contract manufacturer sites in the USA and Asia for PCBA, server, and rack level assemblies in support of compute, data storage, and networking services in Oracle’s cloud. This includes factory process, product quality, production capacity, organizational change, operations projects and programs, policy/process/specification documentation, factory moves and new production line qualification. We work closely with hardware design and product management teams as well as other teams in Supply Chain Ops, Cloud Ops, and other business functions as vital.

  Responsibilities

  What You’ll Do:

  The Oracle Product Manufacturing Engineer is a position within the Supply Chain Operations organization and is an important part of hardware manufacturing. Product Engineers require a mix of hardware, and networking skills coupled with excellent technical management skills. The Product Engineer will support the technical manufacturing operations activities during New Product Introduction of Oracle hardware products from prototype builds through end of life. This position is an ambitious and rewarding opportunity with an exciting blend of both hands-on technical work coupled with elements of technical program management.

  We are seeking an engineer who can strengthen our capabilities and help enable the transition of technology from a development environment to production ensuring Design for Manufacturability. Product Manufacturing Engineers support supply chain activities from a hardware engineering perspective, working with development teams and engineering peers in manufacturing to develop, implement and support manufacturing processes for Oracle systems. You will be a leader with vision in finding the most expedient and innovative ways to help the team transition towards a high quality and yield manufacturing process and to deliver product at volume scale. You will stay abreast of developments in the industry including emerging compute, storage, network, and GPU technologies and find ways of applying these to maintain the manufacturing environments modern and current.

  In general, Product Manufacturing Engineers are responsible for:

  Understanding and bridging the requirements and capabilities of manufacturing to the design of Oracle product.

  Working with Oracle design engineers to understanding product design requirements and defining manufacturing processes to meet these requirements.

  Managing product and process quality within the manufacturing environment reviewing quality data and driving continuous improvements to the manufacturing processes.

  Implementing Operations process changes consistent with product changes over the lifetime of the product.

  What You’ll Bring (Objective Minimum Qualifications):

  To be considered for a Product Engineer position, you must possess the Objective Minimum Qualifications (OMQs) below. Please ensure that your application clearly indicates that you meet these OMQs, either on your resume and/or by uploading additional documents such as a transcript.

  Have a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent science/engineering field by August 2024.

  Have completed coursework, projects, internships, and or research in three or more of the following:

  Manufacturing Processes

  Quality Control Processes and Systems

  Mechanical Engineering

  Materials Engineering

  Computer Aided Manufacturing

  Supply Chain Design

  Have completed at least one internship, research assistantship, teaching assistantship, or equivalent practical experience working with the relevant technical areas noted above.

  Reside in the United States and/or attend a university in the US.

  Able to obtain work authorization in the US in 2024.

  Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the United States only

  Hiring Range: from $63,000 to $126,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

  Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

  Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
