As the Product Manager (Retail) you will assume overall accountability for a portfolio of products and the product lifecycle of the entire portfolio beginning from product brainstorming and following through to delivery and deployment. You will create a product roadmap to ensure the profitability and viability of the products within the assigned portfolio.
Contract Term: 12 months
Location: You will work from our Toronto or Montreal office in a Hybrid work model.

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do
You will work with senior leadership to create product long-term strategy. Collaborate with other Product Managers to ensure understanding of product portfolios against overarching product and corporate strategies
Develop an 18 month to 3-year product roadmap for assigned portfolio. Manage all elements of the product life cycle including gathering and creating product requirements, introducing new features (including determining the appropriate product solution bundle), retiring outdated or redundant features, and providing product support for product launches
Develop solution concepts to address opportunities, gaps or requirements to maintain competitiveness of product offering, consulting on concepts with Technology, and developing comprehensive business cases to support decisions
Prioritize product requirements against resources and revenue opportunities to maximize impact of future releases against achieving published corporate priorities
Manage, solicit and obtain feedback from clients, sales, technology and operations on tech trial and pilot, working with the organization to deliver best in market solution and address / prioritize any remediation needed before commercial launch
Customer visits for requirements gathering, solution feasibility, product demonstrations, roadmap
In collaboration with Technology and Sales, work with third-party companies/vendors to assess partnership opportunities and managing such relationships. Also, evaluate requests for customization from clients for inclusion in standard product releases
Identify success and performance metrics of product offerings within assigned products and adjusting to achieve targets.
Work with Product Commercialization, Operations and Sales to ensure that products meet product launch success criteria and assists the Sales and Client Integration teams in product presentations to accounts and the preparation of sales proposals and responses to RFPs
Work with Technology partners to ensure transparency and communication of activities involved in the product readiness and support of products as aligned with the Product roadmap and life cycle management
Foster collaborative relationship with Marketing to prepare a successful go-to-market strategy
Your Moneris Career - What you bring
University degree in Business/Marketing/Commerce or a related field
Minimum 3 years of Product Management experience including a track record in developing product roadmaps and requirements gathering (retail experience a plus)
Technical understanding preferably in the software development product life cycle
Must have planning, project and portfolio management experience with project lifecycle management on multiple products (must include launches) in a technology-dependent environment
Knowledge and application of both theoretical and practical aspects of product management, including different product management tools and techniques
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and best practices/use applicable tools and processes
Understanding of programming languages, APIs, technical architecture considered an asset
Can translate technology into simple language and product requirements into technical language
