We're looking for a Product Manager to join our Content Production team and will shape our content production tools, with a range of automation procedures and product enhancements. As part of this global team, you'll help shape the rapidly evolving and strategic technology initiatives behind the world's most trusted news organization, Reuters News. As a Product Manager in our Content Production team, you'll ensure expanded coverage for our clients - at speed.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to utilize their stakeholder management and analytical skills within the realm of news technology products by working on BAU initiatives within an existing product.
About the Role
As Product Manager - News Production at Reuters, you will:
Produce a vision for specific tools within our wider news product offering. You'll collaborate with a range of internal stakeholders (such as Development, QA, DevOps and Project Management) and will drive strategic initiatives to achieve your products' aims.Develop a detailed understanding of our newsroom's user workflows whilst working closely with internal stakeholders to identify development items for the product roadmap, considering our strategic direction and inbound customer requests.Define features that clearly communicate customer and stakeholder needs. You'll own and maintain user stories and requirements that will drive the development of our news production tools and will work with the technical teams to help plan and define sprints to deliver the prioritized requirements.Collect, analyze, and synthesize data to support the product's requirements. You'll translate this into detailed technology needs, formal specifications, KPIs and technical solutions as required and will assist in the creation of business cases as required for any major Capex initiatives.Prioritize features and ensure on-time, in-scope delivery of the agreed road map. You'll also provide ongoing analyses and scheduling of defect fixes within the product.
About You
You're a fit for the role of Product Manager, News Production if you have:
Demonstrable experience of either working in a product management or business analytics setting.A great understanding and experience in applying technology to product development. Ideally, you'll have a strong understanding of launching software and experience of managing a full release cycle from product requirements through to product delivery.The ability to quickly learn new content subject areas and apply technology solutions to them.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to deconstruct activities into manageable tasks, whilst working on multiple projects and prioritiesProficiency in writing and testing functional and non-functional software requirements.Data analytics enthusiast with proven track record of using analytics tools to drive the direction of the product.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with competency in stakeholder management.
