Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership, and capacity plans to meet sales and profit targets.
The Global Product Manager will have responsibility for Relay & Contactors in the ICT Switches, Relays & Contactors team. Global Product Managers act as "mini" GMs driving the overall product strategy, business leadership, and capacity plans to achieve revenue and gross margin targets that enable long-term competitiveness and success of the product line. This individual will develop and implement strategies for new business opportunities. This includes identifying growth opportunities within vital accounts and developing relationships with emerging customers and market segments.
This role requires strong strategic thinking, experience working across regions, and a proactive solid work ethic. This role must closely collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues in Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Marketing to gain alignment and drive the successful execution of the product roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities:
Articulate market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscapeConduct competitive analysis and benchmarkingDevelop product roadmaps that align with business strategyDefine resource requirements necessary to execute the product roadmapWork cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and operations strategies and goals, aligning with financial goalsPlan product launches, including the development of marketing and sales plansBe the opportunity champion for PAC projectsBuild a strong connection with the target customer engineering teamProvide demand forecast inputs to S&OP and to drive needed capacityManage the P&L (sales and gross/standard margin) for the assigned portfolioTrack progress to the business plan and facilitate the resolution of gaps
What your background should look like:
5+ years of product management, sales, business development or other relevant experienceTechnical or business degree requiredAdvanced degree (MBA) or relevant P&L management experience preferredRelay/Contactor or ICT industry experience desiredStrong business acumen with an ability to understand technically complex conceptsAbility to influence cross functional teams both internally and externallyFluent language skills (oral & written) in English and German are required
