  The CEAG product line is a market leading range including offering solutions for lighting, process control and power distribution and control. The product lines are supporting Eaton's energy transition focus. Influence is key, in order to develop comprehensive digital product strategies that elevate our positioning, excite our customers and enhance our brand across the globe.

  As the Product Manager for Lighting Products, you are responsible for driving the growth and success of the Lighting portfolios in harsh, hazardous and industrial applications. You work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, marketing, and sales to develop and launch successful products that align with our business strategy and customer needs.

  You own the product lifecycle including ideation, development, launch, maintenance and phase-out. You are directly responsible for the end-to-end financial performance of the product portfolio, addressing competitiveness, product cost, sustainability, customer support, quality and price positioning. The role reports directly to the Lighting Product Line Manager EMEA.

  What you'll do:

  • Execution of a viable product strategy for Lighting in harsh, hazardous and industrial applications

  • Responsible for the complete Product Lifecycle Management of your respective product portfolio

  • Contribution in setting the strategic long-term Product Roadmaps in alignment with the Product Line Manager

  • Communication of pre-defined product strategy to key organizational internal stakeholders (Sales, SCM, Engineering, Operation, Marketing Communication)

  • Evaluation of market trends (based on Segment/CSO/VOC/ Marketing input) for your respective product portfolio and support the Product Line Manager to incorporate them into strategic roadmaps

  • Following the product positioning approach (pricing, specification level, promotion, placement) to maximize product portfolio utilization and profitability

  • Further development of policies for pricing and sales strategies, interpreting and adapting to global market conditions by understanding product/market trends and dynamics, and how it impacts global pricing, demand, and market/supply chain to be competitive

  • Tracking and reporting product KPIs

  • Support and provide technical/product guidance to Commercial team, Sales and Technical Support team

  • Perform market-, business,- and competition analysis in order to ensure competitive product position within market.

  Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (electrical/mechanical) or comparable degree with proven relevant experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of engineering, project management, marketing or sales experience with technical products - ideally in a multi-national matrix organization

  • Proven examples of product development and portfolio management experience with competing priority are essential.

  • Proven track record of experience in electrical, Industrial or mechanical product industry, HAZLOC (Hazardous Location) and Lighting or LED technologies experience is a plus

  • Natural curiosity about technical details of product lines with an understanding of certification and legislation issues in and around HAZLOC area

  • Advanced Excel skills including other Microsoft packages

  • Results orientated with a collaborative culture/approach

  • Strong analytical fluency and high attention to detail

  • Able to analyze complex scenarios and produce realistic and simplified solutions

  • Passionate and effective communicator across all levels of the organization with the ability to build strong relationships

  • Ability to influence, externally and internally within a matrix organization
