Ads form the core of Meta's business and serve as a way to meaningfully connect people and businesses. The Core Delivery Products team builds the systems that match the right user to the right ad at the right time. We do this by building AI/ML systems that understand people and advertiser preferences and optimize the distribution of ads according to their value functions.Since 2021, the ads targeting team has been working on automation - evolving our targeting system from one where audiences are defined by advertiser-provided hard constraints to one where advertisers provide suggestions and our ML/AI systems automatically decide the audience freely. Product launches in this area routinely get mentioned in our company earnings calls and materially and measurably impact Meta Inc global revenue.For this role, we are looking for someone to evolve our targeting lookalikes product in support of our targeting automation strategy. Lookalikes are a fairly manual product - advertisers share a list of example customers and the lookalikes product uses ML to find new potential customers to add to a campaign's audience. Automating targeting will remove the manual step and opens up an opportunity to evolve the product semantic as a value expression lever.
Product Manager - Ads Targeting Responsibilities:
Set long-term product strategy and half-over-half roadmaps for the teamOwn direction, goals, metrics, and results for the teamDeeply understand the ads delivery stack, value creation mechanisms, technology, business, and other aspects of the ad tech ecosystem to drive global incremental revenue.Design hypotheses and experiments to test algorithmic changes to our ads auctionMinimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree or 2 years work experience in a technical discipline: economics, computer science, physics, mathematics, engineering, statistics, or a related fieldExperience working with a team of data scientists, engineers, and designers to synthesize data, generate hypotheses, analyze experiments, and direct a team's roadmapExperience delivering technical presentations to peers, partners teams, and senior executivesPreferred Qualifications:
