About Product Manager

  Job Description We are seeking a dynamic, collaborative Product Manager to support our eCommerce initiatives. As Product Manager, you will play a critical role in developing our products and features to enhance the customer experience, as well as our business processes. You will be adept at using Agile methodologies to bring our products to life. You thrive both knee-deep in analysis, as well as with cross-functional collaboration, expertly managing expectations and communicating with your teammates.

  This full-time position reports to the Senior Product Manager and is expected to work in a hybrid model, which currently includes Tuesday and Wednesday in-office.

  What you’ll do:

  Define story maps, author user stories, tasks, and bugs with a customer-centric eyeFunction as product owner, maintaining well‐groomed backlogs and artifacts; actively manage expectations by communicating statuses and timelinesParticipate in Agile ceremonies, attending daily Scrums, and facilitating backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint review discussions, and sprint demosPartner with technology, business analysts, and key stakeholders to dissect requirements, understand risks, dependencies, and required resources, and develop/deliver against timelines that account for theseHold an in-depth understanding of and communicate the impact functional changes may have on the businessPartner with the business to update, document, and train on new business processes as neededData analysis using GA, Power BI, and Crazy Egg to understand user behavior and identify opportunitiesPerform competitive analysis and market research to inform features that support future growthMaintain and facilitate relationships with existing external vendorsSupport other efforts/initiatives as needed

  What you bring to the table:

  8+ years of professional experience, which includes 5+ years experience as a Product Manager and hands-on experience working in a B2C (DTC) eCommerce environmentExperience serving the needs of customer service and operations teams via technology within a major e-commerce retailerExperience driving data strategy/structure and how it impacts downstream systems and analytics/reportingExperience with Google Analytics, Power BI, and SSRS reportingExperience working with front-end and back-end development teams with an understanding of Headless framework with Microservices based architectureExperience authoring user stories in support of the Agile development process and prioritizing backlogs and working with cross-functional partners to understand trade-offs In-depth understanding of A/B testing and optimization best practicesStrong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environmentExcellent project-management skills and attention to detailStrong analytic skillsProfessional Product Management certifications are a plus (ex. CSM, Agile, PDP, etc.)People management experience is a plusExperience working with SAP Commerce or IBM Sterling Call Center is a plusBachelor’s degree preferred About Us: Balsam Brands is a global, eCommerce retailer with roots in holiday and home décor.
