Role Description:
The SMS team is responsible for building the most trusted and reliable deliverability platform for our SMS channels. We are looking for a Senior Director of Product Management who will obsess about customer success, drive innovation, and collaborate across the organization to deliver customer value at the highest level of system scale and performance for the SMS channel.
This role will require bringing together your business acumen and your technical expertise to help extend the Salesforce Marketing Cloud position as the leading Customer Engagement and Marketing Automation Platform in the world.
Your Impact:
Marketing Cloud's SMS business is expanding rapidly with a diverse global customer footprint. We use an ecosystem of service providers and carriers managed by operations to deliver messages. We work closely with support to assist customers with deliverability issues. As a Product Manager on the SMS product team, you will:
Demonstrate drive and energy with an eye on both the bottom line and customer success.Understand the needs of our customers, operations team, engineering team, and support team in the global SMS business.Expand and execute on a vision that will enable the SMS business to scale, meet growing demand, operate efficiently, and make our customers successful on the platform.Work with go-to-market teams, product marketing, sales, services, and enablement teams to build a program that establishes thought leadership in the market.Collaborate with engineering, user experience, documentation, infrastructure, and customer success teams to drive the product lifecycle from concept to customer success.
Required Skills/Experience:
14+ years of experience as a Product Manager or equivalentDemonstrated experience shipping B2B software products, ideally in building a large-scale enterprise cloud service.Go-getter - you can drive results for impact, manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders, and see it through the finish lineCommunicative - you can communicate (written or spoken) effectively with other product managers, engineers, architects, stakeholders, software vendors, and financeCollaborative - you have experience working with distributed cross-functional teamsTechnically savvy - you are as comfortable deep-diving with engineering as you are with writing product requirementsAnalytical - you can frame the right questions, evaluate multiple facets of a problem, derive solutions, and simulate possible outcomesAgile - you have experience working with engineers to deliver software using Agile methodologies
