Boeing Commercial Airplanes 737 Program isseekinga First Line Engineering Manager to leada team of Configuration Management and Product Integration Engineers. This team mitigates chronic discrepancies, improves flight performance, safety, and build plans.

The role is located in Seattle and Renton, WA.
Thisposition involves staffing and directing a technical team in establishing group goals, managing budgets, monitoring group performance against program and functional commitments and developing technical employees within the group. Previous product support engineering experience is desired.
Position Responsibilities:
This position will require managing projects, nonconformance issues, certification requirements. You will interface with Operations, Quality, Engineering, airline representatives, regulatory agencies and supplier/partners.
The environment will be fast paced and require significant airplane level knowledge.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, collaborators, peers, partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, electrical/electronics, aerospace, computer science, mathematics, or physics.
Willing to work on a rotating shift
Preferred Qualifications:
Project management experience
1+ years of experience in a managerial or team lead role
Strong decision making, problem solving and organization skills
Experience motivating employees and assisting in their development
Ability to accept direction and work with others toward shared goals; capable of multi-tasking while working in a dynamic organization with a diverse workforce
Lean+ knowledge, leadership and experience are highly valued
Cross-BCA engineering discipline experience and knowledge is highly desired
Ability to interface successfully with airlines, suppliers and other functions within Boeing
working on MRB (Materials Review Board) activities related to aircraft
Ability to obtain the appropriate level of management support for quick issue resolution
Must have excellent people skills and possess a working-together attitude
Typical Education
Bachelor degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry and applicable experience in a professional exempt engineering classification.

Summary pay range: $115,000 - $204,000
