The Product Lead Engineer is responsible for overseeing product engineering and making architectural decisions. They play a dual role as both the executor and transformational behind the technical solutions. Collaborating with squad Lead Engineers and Product squads, they tackle intricate engineering challenges and shape the technical design. Their responsibilities include ensuring the product's technical architecture aligns with the technology roadmap and adheres to technical engineering standards
Key Responsibilities :
Responsible for overall Engineering and Technology architecture definition, roadmap, and technical decisions for the product in coordination with the Product Owner, Product Group Engineer and Business Unit Architect. Accountable for ensuring that technical implementation is aligned to the BU Architecture vision, economic framework and business needs
Work closely with the Business Product Manager to define Product strategy/vision
Responsible for working closely with Business and Technology Leaders to find opportunities for transformative operational efficiencies demonstrating cognitive automation.
Work with squads to problem-solve technical challenges and implement solutions, using the squad technology strategy as a guide; is “hands-on-keys” coding while also supporting system/design/code reviews for squad – inclusive of assembling, writing and approving enablers
Drive development and selection of technical solution options (from the approved list of solutions) and test concepts / potential solutions with users
Negotiate technology options with business partners and collaborate with platform/product teams to find opportunities to leverage platforms
Drive testing and deployment of software solution, including ensuring sufficient automated testing to ensure solution quality
Mentor and coach the technical team members of the squad on standard processes/principles (e.g., via code reviews)
Improve operational efficiency by using SDLC Tool chain and contributing additional automation tools and scripts (e.g., CI/CD automation)
Responsible for defining and communicating a shared technical and architectural vision to ensure solution is fit for its intended purpose
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science or similar (Engineering, Math, Physics, IT)
Experience and Skills:
Required:
A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant IT and business experience in required
Knowledge of global pharmacovigilance regulations, computer systems validation requirements, current industry pharmacovigilance technology landscape, including knowledge of vendors, systems and what is new & upcoming in this space and all vital compliance requirements for workflow, reporting, and information custody for medicinal products companies
Experience in Testing, IT Project Management, Systems Support, IT Compliance, or associated track is required
Prior track record of running large enterprise projects across multi-functional teams
Prior track record of soliciting business requirements and converting them into IT solutions and delivery
Knowledge in at least one coding language (i.e. C/C , C#, Python, Java) with code review experience
Excellent understanding of PV systems and system/data integrations with downstream systems for analytics, compliance, and dashboarding
Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to confidently present complex information to all levels of the organization is required
Maintain and advance a positive team culture and support an authentic, open, and broad environment that enhances diverse experiences and perspectives
System knowledge and prior experience with ArisG, LSMV, LSR safety systems
Strong understanding and knowledge about cloud computing technologies and platforms, preferably GCP
20% Domestic Travel
Preferred:
Basic understanding of AI/ML within a pharmaceutical business environment
Basic understanding of Generative AI and Large Language Models
Salary
For US based candidates, the base pay range for this position is $141,950 USD to $192,050 USD.
Bonus
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
